We ended up getting the big plane that turns into a spinosaurus for our son. I did a, hum, QC test earlier today, and dang, that thing is loaded! The transformation is fun, there are like 70+ sound effects/clips, the head moves when you press a button on the tail, it can carries smaller cars or a cage with a baby dino inside, etc. The toy is very well made. I wish Transformers of that price (about $35 I think) were half as good.

Here's a video on Youtube. But it's a short one, there's really more to it.

Ton the stegasaurus has the most interesting transformation of the basics. Collection DX did a pretty indepth review of them recently. And their actually not all that expensive at toys r us even with the electronics. Kind of has an appeal of phone braver with all the alternate faces and smart toy play.

I got Blister the Velociraptor (turns into a nice orange helicopter) a couple days ago, really cool toy with a fun transformation and loaded with features.

They're going to release soon a giant T-Rex (70cm tall) that turns into a crane truck. Raaaaad...

Sorry to necro this one, but the line is still ongoing with news models each year, since..what 2012? So more than 10 years already, the first wave were really cartoon looking design wise, but the more you go on the line the more you got some really nice designs.
I gave my nearly 3 years old son the first 4 "dx" and the raptor helicopter plus the jet spino from the first generation, he love them and know how to transform them despite the fact they were designed to 4 years kids (well he has two rescue bots so hes not new at this). The super stego or the late trex muscle car seems quite badass too, im curious to see if this will evolve some day into a more complete toy line with some medias or if it just gonna run off
