Fantastic job on Dinobot, and a welcome cameo by Booboo!
I already listed everything that I did in the OP then posted a photo of the resculpted raptor hands and tail tip before painting, plus listed the paint brands used. With that all explained, you can either sculpt small simple parts and paint things, or ya can't.
Pretty sure I did say Testors and Tamiya in the comments, but maybe I answered that question somewhere else... At any rate-
Testors wood and Tamiya nato brown
Question about Rattrap. What brand of grey paint did you use?
Oh wow, not sure how I missed this the first time it got posted, but awesome work as always, U9! Really looking forward to seeing how you treat the rest of the new BW figures coming out!
Holy shit, this it's amazing!! I like what you did with the back of Rattrap's feet!!
@Unicron9 have you noticed any paint scuffing on the lower legs of your custom? I’m in the middle of customizing my Dinobot with some gundam markers, but I just want to be sure there’s enough clearance around those hinges to paint them up without worrying about it eventually rubbing off over time.
I haven't but I have honestly only transformed him twice. I did lightly sand areas I thought might scrape though, including the leg hinges.
I wouldn't give for my dinobot to look as good as yours does.
Jeez I would trade my MP for something this decent I could actually play with! Excellent work!
You did an awesome job with the figure!!
Are you repainting any other BW kingdom figures?
That would be awesome to take a look at
look almost like MP level
I've done several already, and working on Airazor right now.
Hard to find time to do stuff for myself though with so many commissions piled up to do.
I would love to see a tutorial. I'm trying to figure out how you painted it. Was it airbrush method? How did you tape off some areas?
Awesome stuff! What sort of clay you used for the sculpting by the way?
Green stuff, some epoxy kind of clay he mentionned it with a wip pic a few posts before
Cheers. I wonder if those bottom bits on his shins are bronze/copper? Unlikely its the same brown used for the stripes of the body right?
Now this is the Dinobot we all deserved! Fantastic work, and your rat is adorable.
Gotta admit I'm deathly curious how you got the bronze/gold paint on the "bones" of his legs so cleanly applied.
I'd also be very deeply concerned about the paint getting scuffed as a result of transformation, similar to the stock paint on Kingdom Primal. How's it been holding up?
I wish Hasbro did this to begin with.
Awww cute mouse friend <3
