I definitely want to add the entire Star Trek: TNG series to my DVD collection, since it's my absolute favorite of the Star Trek series.

There's also A-Team I want to get the entire series on DVD, and some others, including anime, that I would like to get but can't remember their titles at the moment.

As a TV lover, I have a lot of "complete series" collections.... and it reads a bit like a "who's who" of nerd-appeal shows:

    Live Action:
    Arrested Development (of course)
    Angel
    Battlestar Galactica
Buffy (still my all-time favorite TV show, even years later)
    Coupling (British version)
    Dead Like Me
    Dollhouse
    Extras
    Firefly
    Freaks and Geeks
    Malcolm in the Middle
The Office (British version... have never warmed to the US version)
    Scrubs
    Six Feet Under
    Star Trek: TOS
    Star Trek: TNG
Star Trek: DS9 (I'm in the minority, but I think this is the best Trek show)
    Sarah Connor Chronicles
    30 Rock
    Twin Peaks
    West Wing
    Wonderfalls

    Animated:
    Airbender
    Batman Beyond
    Evangelion
    Futurama
Project A-Ko (silly, but one of the first animes I watched back in the 90's)
    Simpsons
    South Park
    Transformers G1
    Transformers Animated

There are several series that I own the first few sets of, but am really having trouble maintaining the motivation to complete. Sadly, one of them is Seinfeld. I loved, LOVED that show when it was on, but I find that, strangely, years later it hasn't aged that well for me and I get impatient watching it. So I only have up till Season 4 of that, and haven't been able to bring myself to keep going. Same goes for Lost... started strong, and I have the first four sets, but I was so disappointed by the rambling conclusion that I'm not sure I want to buy the final seasons. It just doesn't have much re-watch value for me. It's also pretty hard to keep plugging along with the Simpsons. I feel loyal to it, yet I never watch it and it just ends up taking up massive shelf space.

Lately I've been considering picking up some of the HBO shows, too... particularly Deadwood and True Blood. But I haven't taken the plunge yet, and I worry that soon DVD's will just be obsolete anyway and we'll all be keeping our collections online and just streaming them to our TV's....

I assume this is an unofficial release? I've wanted the Maxx on DVD for over a decade now.

actually, it isn't a dvd, and it is.
i own the VHS set of The Maxx and to have a backup, i transferred it to DVD.

i have done that with video tapes i own that are out of print/not on DVD/or extremely rare.

But The Maxx is on DVD- you can order it:
Amazon.com: The Maxx: The Complete Series: Movies & TV

$15 for the whole series ain't bad.

I heard that the 60s tv show "Thriller" is coming out between now and October and am dying to grab it.

    I also want:
    The Middleman
    Macgyver
    Everybody Hates Chris
    Dream On
    China Beach
