We've seen bits and pieces of this in varying quality since the UK Toy Fair in January, but this is the first complete look at the full artwork in decent quality.

Not a lot added to Prowl we didn't suspect but Ironhide uses the original 3 peg hole flatbed version of Off Road.

 

That was on the recent CW cover if I'm correct, so I don't believe this is news if the comic has already been covered.

 

Now i'm waiting for the actual pictures of the toys.

The toy is (also) named "Optimus Maximus" and will be released as part of wave 4 of the Combiner Wars Voyager Class.

You know what frustrates me the most?

If these guys are really the "big BotCon reveal"... doesn't that imply Hasbro doesn't have much else to show off?

 

It was the cover for Windblade 3 if I remember correctly. That picture you linked also looks like the comic logo was removed.

 

There's no way this is the big reveal. We've known they've been coming for so long.

The fan combiner is at least a bigger reveal than this.

 

Which is what makes Hasbro's secrecy all the more absurd.

Then again, it's not just these guys, it's also the new RID toys that are already out in Asia. Hasbro still hasn't released publicity images for them either.

 

Yeah, but that stuff happens all the time, they just put them out on display, usually with previously released figures. I mean I'm sure this will be a reveal, since there's still no pics of the actual toy, but not the main event type deal.

They don't. SDCC is a few weeks later. It was there we got the big combiner reveals last year. Botcon 2014 gave us Arcee, Chromia, Optimus - without revealing he was a combiner, Brainstorm and Megstron. Superion was teased in Sihlouette

I think Botcon and SDCC are even closer together this year!

So I'm expecting this years September ish stuff at Botcon and probably G2 Superion. 2016's Bruticus and one of Victorion/84 Autobots combiner 2 at SDCC

I might buy the limbs, although I find the lack of retooling on Iron Hide disappointing, but I have zero interest in the Optimus repaint, as I have regular Optimus already gathering dust on a shelf.
