Knowing Fanstoys there is no danger of seeing the new versions in shops for at least a couple years, so you'll have time to enjoy your Tesla :p

this perceptor will do i guess, but if XTB gets around to it, then i'll take that instead. i'd much prefer the orginal FT version just because it looks cooler with all the details and chrome

Yip, it takes on average 2 years, sometimes 3 if there is a set back. Meanwhile, I want this now!!!! Tesla 2.0 and Acoustic Wave look great so far.

Well, at least I'll get some use out of him before the upgrade. Mumble grumble etc.

Tao Bao? I’ll probably lock it in when the regular places put it up.

Given his bland altmode, this toy seems like a prime candidate for gimmicks. Unfortunately nothing comes to mind... was the original toy an actual working microscope? Maybe a magnifying glass?
Not that I’d want that here... just thinking out loud.

Hopefully none, they either add cost or complexity that translates into compromises to the look or the transformation, and I'd rather not pay more for either of those. It's Fans Toys so it just needs to look good on the shelf and the render already seems to indicate it'll do that much.

Looks perfect to me. I don't understand why they decided to make version 1 so broad-chested. He's a scientist, not a warrior.
