So FT-04 Scoria is finally out. He is an impressive figure and really stands out on display.

Unfortunately some collectors(myself included) have reported varying issues in the main thread. Maybe a poll is a better way of tracking any issues rather than losing track of anecdotal posts?

Not intending for this to be a Fans Toys or Scoria bashing thread. Just trying to get some objective data from the wider community.

not going to be very objective unfortunately. Anyone who had an issue will probably post and people who didn't won't. Will end up just making the handful of people who DID have a problem seem like the majority.

The front legs/arms on mine are loose, and the folding back section just will not click into place when in dinobot mode. Also the paint on his sword handle has already started to chip off after only the first time of trying to get it into his hand (and getting those weapons in his hands is a task in itself).

Don't get me wrong, I did a video and pointed out that had he not cost so much, then those things would have been at best a very minor annoyance. But given that he did cost a fair amount, they are a little frustrated. But the only one that actually is an issue is the back section not clicking into place. It just makes the dinosaur mode look a little messy.

Still... I do love the big fella :)

Sorry if putting the below in bold sounds like shouting, but i think it has to be mentioned.

Why did dalianjj vote in this poll?

(he is the owner/proprietor of FT, right?)

I'm not so sure. In the main thread everybody seems to agree that Scoria looks fantastic and there are plenty of positive comments from people who have not experienced any issues.

I believe the results will be more objective than some people expect...

I voted with a couple of issues, but I feel I ought to put them in perspective. Mine has some missing chrome on the frill, along the top edge of one of the zig-zag parts. It's annoying, but not major and not that noticeable in most lights because it's white next to reflective chrome. The spare head also had the screws so tight that two of them threaded when I tried to remove them to fit an extra face, so that head is now useless (I had intended to paint it black, so that's annoying).

But other than those very, very minor issues, it's a fantastic figure. I've had just as bad and worse issues on most of the Takara MPs I've had since MP-12.

I voted on 2 things. The gold chrome on the feet is a little scuffy looking and it has 2 left thighs. I have contacted Chimungmung about getting a replacement right thigh.

Overall though I love this figure. It's huge, solid and looks like it stepped straight out of the cartoon. Awesome :)

I voted on loose limbs (mainly the legs that tend to do the splits), but I still think it is a great figure.

Loose arms and the hips are loose.

Arms were an easy fix with some floor polish.

hips as they are a ratchet joint are another thing altogether.
Needs a heavier duty ratchet honestly - hopefully FT learns from this.

not being rude but maybe a little but why is there a fuckin poll for this? whats the point? might as well make a thread for every third party figure that has had problems which is 80% of them...this is beyond useless if you have problems contact a retailer don't make a thread so everyone can bitch and whine about it :rolleyes2

It is important the MFG gets concise feedback so they can improve on their future figures.

Slogging through that massive thread to find the issues? Not happening.

Companies want concise straight forward feedback and this ensures they get it.

The mfg gets concise feed back from the retailers. Forum polls are far from concise.
