How is this news? One film came out in 2007, the other in 2009.

Well, this is a relief. For a second, I thought the article was going to be about how IDW was going to shove another unwanted, ill-fitting franchise into the Transformers comics.

Pffft, like IDW would do something like that.

I probably should have specified in the thread title it was the movies not the comics.

To be fair I am a fan of ill-fitting cross overs.

Micronauts, MASK and Rom say hi.

I mean, MASK, you could kind of make a case for. Not one I'd agree with, but it's at least arguable. Rom and Micronauts, not so much.

Hehe, that's neat. I love little Easter eggs like this.

I think MASK, Rom, GI Joe and Action Man have fit in well enough. Micronauts on the other hand, not so much.

Yeah, it's definitely a varying mileage thing. It will work better for some than it does for me.

The problem on my end is that I already liked each franchise, and they all get a little diminished and undermined by the forced artificial connections.

But on topic, I kind of like the idea that that particular character gets violently murdered by Jason Voorhees. No less than he deserves.

Yeah, always fun seeing those particular characters getting slain. Plenty of annoying characters in the Bayverse that could use the sharp end of a machete.

Hehe & they're both Bay films, so you know it's no coincidence. I always thought this was a funny little Easter egg.

This is brought up every other year or so.

It's nothing more than a nod because of Bay's involvement.
