i previously posted this: (the one here is gone, so im posting the one from another forum) http://www.sgcollect.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39506 had another go over the weekend, found more: TF stuff yes! found the william johnson drawn issues! also the man of iron reprint. joe stuff: including operation snake eyes and mcfarlane drawn issue. no silent issues punisher stuff: notable for excellent jim lee run. spidey stuff: mcf spidey #1! woo! im rich! not. theres also that 1 issue of amazing drawn by charles vess. excellent artist. x-stuff: my fave is the wolvie sabretooth cover with buscema/sinkiewicz interior. excellent. x issues notable for jim lee run. see a pattern? infinty gauntlet: my only pickup from cosmic power mumbo jumbo storyline. DC stuff: notable for revisionist GL mini series.
Some very cool stuff there. Especially the GL stuff and the Spidey silver #1. Also, the Joe stuff is amazingly rare.
i have fond memories of the GL book, if only for intro to good ol kilowog. as much as i loved todds art then, i cringe at how bad the writing was (the visual cues were great tho). i like the amazing issue with hulk tho. todd draws a bitchin hulk. i recall the joe books fondly. towards the end of the TF books, i had started to like the joe books more. had most issues between 60s to 110s, even collected the special missions. im bummed i cant find the joe silent book issue where SS, SE and jinx fend off arashikage clan at their san fran studion, that was cool.
Good ol' 90's X-Men how i miss you! Nothing like uniforms, leather clad dominatrix scientist teachers, strange alien robots, Brittish Psylocke, Excalibur being great, Captian Britain, Rachel Summers, DAZZLER, the general and complete insanity and the Starjammers. It whas like Morrisons New X-Men run but more sexy, colorfull and with less smarts.
