Fossilizer motorcycle gang when?
I made a thing
Can't wait to get Wingfinger and make a bigger thing. Below is a rough pic but it's my half idea for what might come of a combiner using all 3 fossilizers
Anyone know what these fold out pegs on Paleotrex are for?
Tried to make the "official" combiner with all 3. Everything went fine till I got to arms. I learned the the hole on the foot on Wingfinger where Paleo's arms peg into is apparently way too big on one of the feet. Thought maybe it was just the peg on the arm I used for Paleo, but both were loose in one foot, but fine in the other, so that means it won't work very well even when I get Transmutate. So the arm just falls right out unless I have it posed in a way its not hanging down.....or I just need to come out with a different way of combing them I guess.
They allow you to attach those pieces sideways, which makes some great possibilities. Nice work and welcome to this evil thread, btw!
Yeah, that is one of the prevalent issues with these (same with Weaponizers and Modulators). Hasbro is all over the place as far as what "5mm" means. If the pegs are too small or the ports are too large, you can modify them using a clear acrylic product. There are some brands of nail polish that are just acrylic and alcohol (avoid anything with acetone or perfumes\scents and be careful not to get any on the paint), and there's a substance called "Kiki fix loose joints" that is popular and more purpose-made, you can find it on Amazon for 10 bucks. There is also a floor polish called Pledge or Future which is said to be effective. Some people use simpler methods, such as putting a piece of masking tape into the socket so the peg wedges in more securely. Some people also use methods that I cannot recommend, such as super glue, ECA glue, and other volatile adhesives and solvents.
Officially? No idea None of the official configurations I've seen from Hasbro uses those pegs. Unofficially, that's actually how I attached the chest piece in this image.
What would be the robot mode knees are pegged into the heels of the dino mode feet and the dino rib cage is pegged into those fold out pegs you showed in your image. It's not the most secure connection by the way but it works.
There's all kinds of pegs and ports all over this thing that I don't think ever get used for any official reason, they're just kind of there for you to figure out your own combinations with.
BTW I kind of took inspiration from this video.
It's not exactly the same harness he made but rather a combination of two of his ideas with my own little twist thrown in. I wanted to make sure he'd end up with the mace weapon, I also liked the Axe, and then I wanted to also figure out a place for his swords to go. I could of put them in his back storage here but I had previously tried a different combination he showed in the video which blocked off those ports so I couldn't use them. I liked the shoulder blades so much I just left them there for this combination.
Fellow Funky Fossilizer Fans! I whipped up a rifle/minigun from Paleotrex that I'm pretty proud of. I even think that since the grips are made from her t-rex feet and thus are pretty flexible I could get Primal and Megatron to wield this well, but I'm on some heavy pain medicine for an eye infection and don't want to risk transforming them from beast to robot mode right now.
I love all the smaller equipment and armor builds for these guys. I've been cleaning up my room and collection today and processing new things I've obtained lately, but I keep eyeballing my big pile of Fossilizers which are the reason I'm cleaning up my workbench in the first place :]
Have this issue too. One wingfinger foot hole is worse than the other. I swapped paleo limbs around to get the best attachment to wingfinger. I can get them to attach, but having the Paleo hands then hold anything effectively is more challenging than it should be.
Dang thanks, that reminded me of a sweet quad-barreled sci-fi blaster I made with Wingfinger and Cyclonus last week!
Inspired by equal parts Scyther and Slenderman:
Dammit, I've gone from "nah, I don't need to buy any fossilizers" to "I MUST BUY ALL THE FOSSILIZERS"...
Quite proud of this one so far, made from a Paleotrex, a Ractonite and a pair of Vertebreak twins (one of whom maaaaaaay be called Spinal Snap *innocent whistle*).
Yeah, I may have called him Frankenstone. Unless I cringe my eyes out from my own pun, and change it to Chimeracon, or Bonebed.
My Wingfinger needs to arrive now. Right now please. I need to finish the great work!
After seeing the leaked pictures from the set of TF: Rise of the Beasts, maybe we'll see "Fossilizers" on the big screen since Netflix WFC Kingdom forgot to include them.
I got this horror show to stand!!!
Transmutate came in yesturday and at first I just wanted her for dino mode and colors but the more I look at her, the more I think the mode is just so damn fitting and I think she's my favorite fossilizer
I have her ordered at 3 different stores, and none of them have come in yet! I shall be patient like the waves...
Ouch, that sucks. I went through Gamestop and took 2 - 4 days
God these things are frightening lol well done
Wingfinger arrived... and so... it is done...
Say hello to PETRIFACTOR:
CW Megs in there for scale. He's, erm, bigger than I expected...
Made using every single part (with nothing left over) of a Paleotrex, a Ractonite, a Wingfinger, and two Vertebreaks for legs, along with some of my sanity and the blood of the innocent.
EDIT TO ADD: And a piccie with the actual Megatron he fights under...
Separate names with a comma.
