It is major cause for global warming.By burning fossil fuels adds carbon dioxide into air which causes plant grown. This is irony since most of plants or animals that die were living in environment that had lots of plant life.It is like the revenge of the dinos. Any thoughts about this or is global warming a myth?

Serious question: How old are you?

Serious question number 2: Do you ever intend to return to a topic that you start?

I'm sorry, but this statement is completely nonsensical. I'm not really sure what you're trying to say or what point you are trying to make.

Global warming - real? Not real? It's not possible to conclusively tell. What is easy to tell is that a critical dependance on a finite resource is a bad idea.

    What's this guy's motivation anyway?
I bet the next thread he'll start will be about "How often do you go to the bathroom on a daily basis? And how does that hurt your feelings?"
And then, he'll post a similar thread in the Transformers Discussion Forum, by somehow making that about TF's.
To each their own, I guess.

Global warming is accepted by the majority of world scientists, meteorologists, and climatologists. Its even accepted by the Bush administration. I think you'd have to be pretty much a Big Oil CEO or coal plant employee to think there is no global warming. Its happening - its real. Just look around at all the recent changes - increases in sea surface temperature, changing of jet-streams, loss of polar ice, rise in sea levels, bleaching of coral, melting of glaciers, loss of water level in dams, etc. There are way too many things to list. You'd pretty much have to be an idiot to not accept global warming.

As to the cause of global warming, again most scientists agree its humans that are the cause. Only recently has the avg temperature shot up (relatively speaking) since humans started producing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. The erratic weather (harsher winters and summers), tornados, hurricanes, freak storms, etc are all due to global warming and its only going to get much worse.

Hopefully the majority of people already see this and are willing to change and to find a solution...

Corrolation does not equal causation. Global climate change is real, but how much is truly due to humans is an unknown factor. The Earth has gone through many climate changes before humans were around, and those can't be blamed on us.

Erratic weather may nor may not be more drastic than before, because we have no way of knowing how many of those freak storms went un-reported previously. In addition, while in the previous years the average temperature has gone up, last year was also a record low, potentially averaging out the last few years of highs.

You are entitled to your opinion. But let the fact remain, as of currently, the MAJORITY of scientists agree that global warming is man made:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6321351.stm

The IPCC is representative of most of the climate scientists around the world. In fact, the IPCC even had to pass US inspection of the report before it could be issued...

Every time you breathe out, you're adding carbon dioxide to the air. Maybe you should stop doing that.

Except for there is plenty of dissenting opinion that gets quashed without anyone ever honestly reviewing it.

Things like basic equations being potentially wrong. http://www.dailytech.com/Researcher+Basic+Greenhouse+Equations+Totally+Wrong/article10973.htm This scientist had to resign from NASA and publish his results in Hungary because no-one here wanted to review it.

There is big money in green industries. And it's a touchy feely happy thing. You don't want to kill the environment do you? Then you must be an environmentalist, and want global warming so that it can be fixed.

While not the way it gets portrayed, it's an argument I've heard personally.
