The financial magazine has just announced its Fictional 15 for 2007 – the 15 wealthiest characters in fiction. Chosen by the editors, the 15 had to meet three key criteria: * they had to be authored fictional creations (i.e. not mythological or folkloric) * they had to star in “a specific narrative work or series of works” * they must be known for being rich, both within their fictional universe and by their audience And the winners have between them a total net worth of $137 billion. That’s BILLION. The Top 15 are: 1. Scrooge McDuck, seen on '80s cartoon Ducktales ($28.8 billion) 2. Where is Lex Luhor on the list? Yeah, really makes no sense where the $$$ values are coming from. Should have just been the names.
Luthor is currently in hiding and no longer rich. Or as rich anyway, he still seems to be able to afford his exo-suits.
Most of those make sense. What I don't get is how they came up with the numbers, though I'm sure there is no particular logic behind them.
I figured Scrooge would be in the #1 spot. I'm surprised Princess Peach is on that list. Where exactly did they get that number from?
Are you sure? I thought she was made of plastic. Speaking of which, why isn't Barbie in there? That @#%$# has everything.
I'm sure the people who put that list together would say that just like the real world, not all of the super rich have assets that can be independently verified, and therefore hard to place them into the list. That would be a truthful answer, yet also allow for forgetfulness on their parts in not including someone who really ought to be on the list. And this list has been published for quite a few years now...And on another note, I thought that Paris and Barbie were just the same person, and therefore eminently eligible for this list?
Barbie Plastic. (as in credit card) It's based on her share of all of the money parents spend buying her merchandise for their little angels. (who dream of growing up to just like Paris... er I mean Barbie)
I dont like this list. the fact is that one character would be in there in the top 15 Lee Falks the Phantom and randomly out of my head he has a cave full of jewels and gold and a few items like -Ceasers crone -Excalibur -The snake that killed cleopathra the list is endless,
