Scorn rolling in dino mode to wipe out a group of vehicons

But yeah, everything was an improvement in this. I still had issues with it, like the fact that the Dinobots felt like an afterthought and were rushed in, and other minor quibbles, but a strong improvement.

How many robot vs robot fight scenes are in this one compared to DOTM?

Pretty much every fight scene is robot vs robot. No military here except briefly in the beginning
when the CIA forces hunt down Ratchet
, but Lockdown does most of the work.

this was by far the best of the movies. i really felt like this was the first movie we ever got, it just felt fresh and different.

the human/tformers balance was much better. it was there but not in your face. this movie was about transformers.

the humor was there but not trashy or dirty, had a lot of great one liners, esp tuchi and hound.

all the new characters sort of felt like we had already known them and had great screen time.

i liked how the CONS where all different and not just your basic same looking drones over and over again.

loved how megs became galvatron ala the animated series.

lockdown was badass, everything he did was just done well, how he hated transformers period and him working with humans.

for once bumblebee did not seem like the main attraction, i actually tolerated him for once.

i felt the treatment of the dinobots was done well. having them as beings already around and were captured but where their own beings was great. they were set free and asked to help and then were able to leave on their own.

hope to see galvatron and a new crew of cons in the next one.

Optimus' emotion throughout the movie. Cade Yeager. Less Bumblebee, more other Autobots. Optimus' transformation out of and back into cab truck at the gas station. Lockdown. KSI raid. Autobot quarrels. Prime speaking cybertronian. Crosshairs. Hound. Drift being a triple changer. Grimlock's transformations. Transformers' mythology depth.

    I loved it.

The new cast of Autobots is fantastic; they've got distinct personalities and great dynamics with each other. Drift is easily my favorite new Autobot, his reciting a haiku and Hound's reaction to it was perfect.

Lockdown was also pretty awesome, and even though Galvatron is mostly a background character it was pretty cool to hear Welker back in his traditional role on the big screen.

First off... Bay I forgive you for the majority of your eff ups. This was a Transformers movie first and foremost. Prime was CLEARLY the honorable and noble leader of the Autobots. He is angered by injustice. Pained by loss. It was clear it's him that makes them heros. Without him, the Autobots seem very flawed. Thank you for bringing Prime back. Somehow, Prime doesn't seem as murderous and STILL manages to kick tons of ass.

Mark Wahlberg is perfect. He is like a human cartoon character. Stanley Tucci was awesome. Really goofy cartoon like performance. Kelsey Grammar was Kelsey Grammar as a evil cartoon bad guy. The kids performance was tolerable. They were the low light of the human acting, but no worse than some annoying characters on the cartoon. The human acting was cheesy -- just like on the cartoon. So to me, for this movie, it was perfect.

Lockdown was hands down the best villain. Menacing, perfect altmode, extremely calculated and evil. He was Animated Lockdown on crack. The connection they made to the cartoon with him... if you loved Animated you will be happy at the little nod. He was a TRUE Decepticon. Galvatron does not disappoint either.

Hound was the best new Autobot. He shined, but so did Drift and Crosshairs. Drift's alt mode is... very cool. All of them get their time to shine. In fact, all the robots get their time to shine. Every last one. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Dinobots were effin awesome. Liked their integration. Very cool nods all the way around. They were forces of nature. As they should be.

The first three, I liked the first and third, ROTF was mediocre to ok, but they felt too... like they took themselves too seriously. I feel like I just watched a 2 and a half hour live cartoon. It did the ridiculous and stupid and ... if felt like Transformers. It was zany. The humor was more situational. The movie even had different tones. From more light hearted to more serious.

It understand why critics bash it... they're taking it too seriously. Now that the characters on screen don't take themselves as seriously, you shouldn't either.

I know there's going to be those that don't like it in this fandom, but I really don't understand why for once. I got all the issues with the first three. ROTF was wretched for all the cool parts it had. One was good but not a lot of robots. 3 was solid... but still missing... something.

In short, I want Bay back to finish out the series now. No new director please. I finally feel like he did it right! Tons of robots! Stereotypical cartoon personalities! Madcap humans that ACTED like cartoon characters! Enough action you could get tired of it! The spectacle of seeing it on the big screen brought me back to 86, seeing TFTM.

I'm going again with my dad tomorrow. Senior citizen discount. :D

    Agree with all of this.

I wish the dinobots and their "knight" status were explained more, though.

Optimus speaking Cybertronian was strangely awesome. I don't know why, but I loved that moment. He says something about "legend." I want it more fleshed out in a comic or something.

This movie left me wanting more.

It was amazing!!!!!!!!! ALL of the autobots were characterful and fun. Hound was hilarious, lockdown was vicious, and the dinobots were the most epic thing to ever grace one of these movies. To summarize it was an all around good movie that I simply enjoyed watching.

Everything. Some ppl may not agree. But that's fine. But saying its worst than dotm and rotf...complete bs. Hound and lockdown alone is better than those two. I mean the autobots have personalities. This movie does the one thing that completely pissed me about the other three. NO HUMANS KILLING NAMED TFS. THANK YOU GOD. Peter Cullen gold. Welker always perfect. Human story was decent better actors etc. dinobots.......$$$ LIQUID GOLD EAT LIKE THAT GUY YOU KNOW. Anyway some ppl may hated it but hey. Fuckit 4 out of 5 for me

That was an awesome moment. Cullen sounded so majestic saying the words; so much different than the SKREEGRRBABBL language the Decepticons have used in the films.
