    When you're making $25 million a year, you better double check every drug that's going into your body. Blaming it on "something my doctor gave me" isn't an excuse.

    I'm disappointed to say the least. In a weird way though, I'm not really that surprised. At this point I think I'm pretty numb to it. The show must go on though. Sadly the Dodgers were a .500 team before Manny so it remains to be seen if they go back to that level of mediocrity. I miss the days of Lasorda, Scoscia, Hershizer and Gibson.

    I don't buy the "My doctor prescribed it" bullshit. What a convenient excuse. Maybe his cousin gave it to him over the counter from the Dominican Republic.

    I have to give Manny props on his response. Even though his statement was written for him, he is somewhat accepting responsibility:

    He understands MLB's policy and basically know there's no loophole to get out of it.
