Here's a really simple one... I don't really like the FoC "Wreckers" -- most of them don't seem to suit the image or spirit of their characters very well. Therefore I've been decapitating them and using their headless bodies as Transtectors for a buncha my Titanmasters. Works very well. However... FoC Twin Twist doesn't have room to accommodate a Titanmaster (even I did decapitate him). What's more, "Twin Twist" is the FoC Wrecker design I like the most. Not as Twin Twist, and not the way he officially transforms, but still. Ssssssssooooooo I modified his double-barreled drill battery (by snipping off the tail end and inserting 5mm pegs into the sides) and presto! A hovertank with dual ramming drills which actually stay snugly in place. Sweet! I also drilled holes in the tank turret barrels and in the barrel of the gray gun/trigger atop the drill battery. Finally, I added three Reprolabels autobrands for some much-needed accent color. I'm loving this simple mod, just loving it. But my quandry now is: what do I call him? My first instinct was to say that this is a new, upsized body for Drillbuster. But this altmode doesn't really resemble Drillbuster's all that much (plus, I'd prefer to do upsized Micromasters as Headmasters). Still, it's a pretty boss name and the character is a total cipher. So, maybe? Then I thought he could be Borebit or Corkscrew. They didn't necessarily have to die in that battle, right? Corkscrew is a pretty dumb name, while Borebit is only marginally better. But, again, total ciphers. So maybe. I've also considered making this a purely original character. Names I've been considering include: Burroughs (like, he "burrows" through the ground) Gouge Impaler Penetrator Perforator Puncture (his nickname could be ‘Punc) Scrape Shaft (I'm just talkin' about...) Spear Whatever I decide to call this guy, I am very pleased at how such minor modifications have made such a difference in my fondness for the toy. Victory!
I love this! The mods to vehicle more make this think look sick as hell. Where did you get the drill weapon? Do him up in Megatron colors, and he could be one of his co-workers before the war.
Thanks! Yeah, it really does make it looks badass, doesn't it? The drill weapon comes packaged with Transformers Generations 2013 Fall of Cybertron Twin Twist -- who is a recolored, renamed, new-head-sporting 2012 Fall of Cybertron Brawl. However, out of the box it can't really pull off this arrangement. It's designed to work like this:
Targetmaster? I see the 5mm port in the underside of the gun is visible in this alt mode, so extend it and/or possible add another 5mm port on another portion of the underside so he can hold with both hands.
