I remember hearing this somewhere but I can't seem to find the thread :(
Anyways, just got FOC Combaticons and I don't want to transform swindle until I know what tabs to shave. It's the retail version btw.

I don't think you have to shave any tabs on that figure. I have the G2 version, but it transforms fine with no problems at all. I say go transform him, then blame me if something goes wrong. I will deny any liability.

I have the SDCC version and I didn't shave any tabs on mine. It's a matter of people being a tad careless with it. I've had a little fuck up on mine, but that was totally due to user error, rather than design.

I never shaved any tabs and all I got was some pins that slide around that I have to hold in place with a nail clipper whenever I slide his joints.

I have the G2 and retail versions. I have no problems with either of them.

Maybe your thinking of Blast Off. That one you have to shave the tabs a little due to a design flaw.

It's the two tabs on the chest/hood that peg into one of the two sets of slots on his legs. I haven't shaved mine down personally (G2 version), but I try to avoid plugging them in in vehicle mode because those slots are really tight and the tabs were beginning to show stress marks from how much force it took to unpeg them. The slots for limb mode are a perfect fit, though.

One of the hood tabs on my (retail) Swindle snapped off the first time I transformed it. I think it was a combination of the slot being very tight and that I didn't see the angle it needed to go in (straight). Got a replacement figure, and it's perfectly fine.
