Would like to see pics with voyager Classics Prime.
It's a nice looking mold, but I'll most likely be passing on all three of it's uses. I do really love the look of their packaging, which makes it tempting to get one and keep it in-package. Grimlock is certainly tempting, but I'll most likely want to display him out of said packaging...
Soundblaster's bio is oddly-authentic to his Headmasters backstory. Which is nice in one sense, but is it too much to ask that we get a backstory that fits with the Aligned continuity, or one of the almost EVERY G1 continuity that excludes Soundblaster?
Kind of would have liked him as a separate character, if only so I feel 5% less gullible for buying him while I already have Deluxe Generations Soundwave.
BTW, Aligned Soundwave is well on track for a record number of toys for someone not named Optimus, isn't he?
Why isn't there a classics deluxe blaster?
This guy is a DEFINITE pass for me. Not because of the price, though, as I know that's probably just a specific store thing, but it's way too big and hugely inferior to the deluxe.
Can we get a UPC code for these guys?
One could argue that the very fact that there is such an intentional characterization gap between fictions automatically makes WFC Soundwave in a different continuity as Prime Soundwave.
Pass. They should have made a Voyager Shockwave, Megatron, and Optimus instead. Keeping my deluxe Soundwave.
I agree but in the game shockwave was small though
Ok haven't played the game yet. How tall is Soundwave compared to Optimus in the game?
It would be nice to get some real CHUG stuff and not FOC.
The voyager Soundwave toy itself is nice, but too large to fit in with my WFC figures.
Plus, the "data disc" alt mode for his minions looks bad. In the game, his minions transformed into rectangular data-logs(?), like the ones you find hidden throughout the game.
Laserbeak and Buzzsaw look decent, given their size and simplicity, but I've seen pics of Rumble and Frenzy, and those are fugly. I'm not even going to mention how bad Ravage is.
According to the comics(forget which series it is), you can in theory treat the FoC figures as CHUGs.
Well that's what I'm doing, at least.
Thanks Raven24, you have been super accomodating! He really looks like a brute compared to the rest of the War/Fall figs. Also, that cylindrical chest looks good as a customisers base for that "IDW decepticon justice crew dude".
Can you also post alt mode pics with the other War/Fall figures if you still have them out.
Also, don't forget a lotto ticket tonight!
Man so much negativity toward this figure... Despite him being a pretty damn good figure imo... Maybe I'll wait and get him on sale. If he scales well with CHUG Megs and Prime consider him bought. I have Music Label Soundwave with my CHUGs currently but like the seekers he just looks too small. Yeah his minions look awful, but I imagine that will soon be remedied by a 3rd party or by Shapeways.
Rumble and Frenzy are horrible but Ravage is not that bad.
I think those guys might have quite a bit of articulation.
Speaking of articulation, how much do the birds have? Hopefully they aren't too hindered by all the springs..
Wow, I don't own any modern TF (just a "G1" collector, having sold all my modern a while ago) but I am very tempted by this Voyager Soundwave figure. He looks great!
definitely an impulse buy if at all
This Soundwave strangely appeals to me.....
Separate names with a comma.
