Well looks like he suffers from all the recent problems Transformers do. I really do not like the purple colour used on him. I'll wait and see what the United version looks like before I think about getting this guy. (Not like we have much choice on Shockwaves). Yes before you tell me I am aware there is an AM Version coming out but I still suspect we will be getting a United version.

iirc shockwave had a space jet mode in the comics at one point, plus i just like this design better. not to say his voyager toy is a bad toy.

 

This one is certainly in the buy column.

 

I'm okay with his height.

I'm still not okay with the how hollow his legs are, though.

 

Not gonna lie here. My 1st thoughts after seeing that gallery went something along the lines questioning why I'm getting sexually aroused by a Shockwave.

 

Yeah that's got to be the most blatant case of some of these newer toys having hollowed out limbs to save on plastic.

I'm thinking Shockwave would make a good Army builder. Doctor Doom/ Doombot style.

On the other hand. I want to take pictures of Generations Shockwave leading a Unit of Vehicons.

Then again I may be absolutely nuts from waiting for new toys. Got to pull back my spending for when Hasbro wants to open the floodgates again.

Guess I'll experiment with the drone army builder idea before seperateing all of them as the shockwave for multiple unserved Universes.

 

I wonder if the gun can sink down lower on his hand and cover part of the arm? It looks like it may be possible. I like the idea of Shockwave being able to have two hands or the cannon in place of either of them though.

Hopefully, the lack of a gun arm is putting me off. Love the way Shockwave looks and can get over the thin legs and smaller scale but where's the gun arm????

I'd rather them just have done it right the first time and save me the money, but yes, this will definitely make me want an upgrade.

Besides the two hands, I think he looks pretty damn good and will be the best classics style Shockwave I'll have, so no major complaints.

 

I was super excited about this guy when I first read about him and now I'm just meh... Maybe I'm just jaded after all the MP news but I no longer fell like I NEED this. If I see him at retail and haven't made a purchase in a while I may get him if not oh well.
