Okay so I lied, it's not complete, haha, but it's like 85% done. Looking for some feedback before I go any further.

Here are some pics -











I have the morning star and laser sword ready, but they have yet to be painted. Prolly going to go with purple with a purple-white glow effect (if I can achieve it, haha).

As for feedback -
I think he's lacking a lot of red. I left the biceps red and weathered them a bit, but i feel it's not enough. Think I should make the stomach red? And if so, any tips on how to get the red to appear prominently over the dry brushed silver?

I'm debating what to for the wheel... I think I might keep the wheels for the forearms but exchange the leg ones for treads so it's more tank like...

What do you think?

I took your collective advice and added some red. You guys were right, really does a great job in breaking up the silver and black. Thanks for the help!

Man, I love this. I have that head-piece too, and an extra FOC Prime laying around... Where did that cannon come from?

I'd suggest modeling the colorscheme more on the comic renditions of G1 Megatron - red inner legs (inside-back/underneath), red mini 'grill' on his lower-abs, and perhaps some red on the torso, below the window-divider/beside the main grill - either that, or some red windows. The torso (without a flat-paneled styrene resculpt) needs some color to break up all that detail.

With Perceptor Tank-treads on the back, I can see you pulling this Hybrid style really well.

good idea there, love the head you used...I used gens thunderwings head for mine. Tank treads would be an awesome addition

Head = Wreckage? I think that's his name.
Morning Star = Energon Ravage tail (I think)
Arm Cannon = Ultra Powerglide gun + booster thingy from Classics Skyfire
Treads (which will be attached later) = G1 Scavenger

I know right? I hate it as Optimus, but I think this looks great, and the same goes for the Ultra Magnus ones.

this is a terrific idea! i would've gone with a different approach on the Flail though, just to make it fit with the FOC style weapons with the "lights" and all that good stuff. Regardless, its a great custom.

Agreed with these comments.I would 've also kept the parts you wanted painted seperate colors taped off after primer to get more of the brighter colors to stand out vs. painting back over all of that drybrushed work.
