Megatron looks similar, if not the same, to WFC Megatron.
Vortex? mmmmmm if that is only one of the Combaticons I am eager to see the rest and Bruticus.
Megatron looks like the WfC design with a fair few Prime influences. So far so good!
Is it me or does Vortex have a major Razorclaw look going on with him?
Hm. . . . not really digging Megatron's new look.
We don't know how much the dinobots will be featured. For all we know only Grimlock is playable while the others are support (though maybe playable in Escalation - which I'm positive is in). If every Dinobot were playable then that makes the Autobot playable character list at 5 and with Optimus, Jazz and Cliffjumper confirmed as playable that is 8 characters at least for campaign. I doubt that.
Them Dinobots look kickass! Me say bring all five!
I'm going to unlurk just long enough to sign the demand for the Dinobots! Give us all five as voyagers, please!
And I kinda like that Megatron. It's a simple upgrade from his WFC form, but I prefer that to a completly overhauled one who looks nothing like the previous.
Vortex? Are we getting Combaticons?1?! SWEET!!!!!
MEgatron is really abbusing Dark Energon, that cant be good. :S But I like the new looks.
Could just go with the same body design as brontosaurus...considering that they were determined years ago to be apatosauruses ...or apatosauri? Pretty much the only difference being shape of the skull.
Thank you! I was a bit pissed when Matt opted not to explain the name change, but as I was too last to figure out why, I let it go.
Megatron’s new look isn’t a simple upgrade; he’s been completely overhauled. The only thing unchanged on him is quite possibly his head. I don’t know if I like his new concept all that much, but I’d like to see it in motion before dismissing it completely. I do, however, like the look of his alt-mode though. It is far superior to his previous WFC one.
I couldn’t find the original links to much cleaner pictures of Megatron and Vortex, so I created new ones:
Much better pictures. Thank you.
i like Megatron's new alt mode, not so much a fan od the botmode. Same for Optimus though, so w.e
Toy-wise? I'll tell you want... for my CHUG shelf, those new Dinobots would have to be a work of perfection to bump the G1'ers off my shelf, displayed now in dino mode as they should be.
But it's a thrill to see them being developed for WFC2.
Are we going to get daily updates for this game for the next 14 months?
sadly only a month
That's what I'm wondering too, why are we getting all this info now when the game is so far from release? With WFC this many updates only came weeks before the game launched to build the hype, what's going to happen next year closer to release if they tell us everything now?
Megatron is my least favorite design so far.
Game Informer has a one month exclusive deal with this game. They'll continue releasing news until the month is up. They still have 7 (or 8 depending how you look at their FoC page) stories left.
Has it been confirmed that the game is coming out in the fall of 2012 is was this just something being thrown around by pre-order sites? IIRC, the last Game Informer ran an exclusive like this WFC came out half a year later. The videos we've seen look pretty solid too, though I wouldn't mind the images improved upon
I want a game graphically superior to WFC, I also want a game that twice as long and just as fun as if not more than HMS’ first Transformers gem.
Vortex is interesting, though maybe a bit overdesigned and gigantic looking. Megatron... is TOTALLY overdesigned. I like that the concept art subtly references his G1 box-art in his posture (perhaps Galvatron moreso), but I really don't care for the design.
I thought the first WFC Megs design worked really well, but for this one it feels like they accentuated all the things I liked least about it. I understand that they are emphasizing angularity and diagonal patterns on the Decepticon designs so far... but I'd like to see more boxes, honestly.
