Not that I’m aware of. It seems Target is on the verge of a reset (whatever that means; I’ve never worked retail), so we’ll probably be seeing them very soon.
A reset is when the store clearances old, discontinued or poor selling items to gain that shelf space back in favor of whatever the new items are. Shelf space is super valuable in a store and a lot of the times brands have to fight to keep it by delivering on X number of sales for that line. The stores will designate a day for the workers to arrange the shelves according to new shelf plans. The majority of new product for the reset will come in during the days/weeks prior, sometimes making it to shelves erroneously and sometimes staying in the back stock, depending on management.
Thanks for this. It’s pretty much what I thought it was, but I wasn’t sure if there was more to it. I appreciate the explanation.
I've checked Sodo Target, East Colonial Target, and the Walgreens inbetween (WILL THE USA EVER SEE NOVA OR QUASAR, YOU MONSTERS!?!) about every other day for a while now and all of them have been wastelands other than the Slag sighting last week. Where the hell is Galvatron!?
Anyone here happen to collect any pokemon TCG that might have tips for finding a forum similar to this one but for trading cards
Thanks for the follow up. I found a bunch of Nerf Blasters on sale for 50% off. Picked up a Fortnite Grenade Launcher to initiate a nerf battle at work tomorrow afternoon.
What’s bothered me about a lot of recent resets these B&M stores do is that, yeah they’ll rearrange the aisles, but will still ZERO new product to put out. It’ll trickle out. A case here. A wave there. Only to be all snatched up by the same guy. The best reset I remember when when Cybertron (2005) debuted. I read about a target reset the following week. I stopped at one as soon as they opened and they had HALF the aisle devoted to just Cybertron with multiples of every characters and size class. That was the benchmark for me. That was the bar that all subsequent resets would strive to meet and other than the one for the 2007 movie, they’ve all been a MASSIVE disappointment…
What has me personally baffled, at least when it comes to deluxes, is that wave 2 has been here for a while, but some stores seem to have just received one or two cases of it, and then went right back to stocking wave 1 again....
A single Grindor at SODO target in Orlando. Some lucky guy got the Slag that was destined to be mine. Oh well. Hunt goes on.
I recently got back into it, my store (Daytona target) gets new stock once every 2 weeks (90% certain) on Tuesdays (not sure if it changes). Chilling Reign is disappointing imo. Looking forward to Evolving Skies and Celebrations.
North Tampa: University Target at Bruce B Downs (near Mission BBQ) : I was going to write that there was a Kingdom Magnus figure, but upon examination, it looked like someone returned a Siege Magnus in a KI box. The eye design ,battle damage and white pattern in his crotchplate point to this. I am not an expert since I don't own siege or KI Magnus. This is what it looks like to me. No Galvatron and nothing new otherwise.
