I was thinking that too, seen in a few of the aoe tv spots? - But wouldn't they have filed that sooner? Hmmmm....
At first hearing the name Flexium I immediately thought of Stretch Armrstrong, that figure you could stretch 5 or 6 feet in all directions, but then I read the full description and knew it couldn't be that. But now I can't think of what that term has to do with computer games, maybe a character name Flexium,I guess we will find out one day.But it does sound interesting otherwise.
I am of two thoughts. Flexium sounds like a Stretch Armstrong like toy... but the patent is listed for video games, so I wonder if Knightsword is right and we will get a Skylander/Infinity style game.
When I first read that name I immediately thought that it would be the material Transformers are made out of. Maybe it is, and they are using the name for video games and such where you construct your own Transformers? Who knows.
didn't one of the movie previews mention a "new metal" that transformers are made of? I"m betting this is what "Stinger" is made of… just my
Flexium sounds kinda cheesy. Let's throw in Convertium, Changium, Differentium and Transformium too. Maybe if we're lucky it'll be a Stretch Armstrong 'Skylanders' game. Not into the Skylanders/Infinity type of thing myself, so I guess this Flexium thing wouldn't be for me anyway.
A Skylanders style game would be awesome! Have BotShots styled figures where the game would recognize robot/vehicle modes when you place them on the portals. It'd be the first Transformers video game I'd actually want to buy in years.
http://youtu.be/5TTeeFRHfDM There is the beam box. I rather like it. Even if it only has five figures to collect. As for flexium Can't be any worse than Hasbros Net Jet. That thing was basicly just a usb controller with 400K data keys to their website, and admittedly disclaimed to not be future proof. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_Jet
I think its the metal they are referring to in AOE. Its the same trademark they filled for ROM the Spaceknight and that almost was a botshot.
