a friend of mine who lives 2 1/2 hours away went to a flea market and found these and bought them for me, she is bringing them to me on sunday. she says there are about 10 more packages of tf's and I am stoked!
There is something almost magical about getting Transformers that way. We value them so much that it seems inconceivable that others may sell them as if they are old junk! I completed my first Predaking when my Mum found a Divebomb at a garage sale. I had been looking for that figure for ten years by that stage.
Sometimes it comes by luck, if you are destined to find that figure, you will eventually find it,if not will be like your example, after donkey years.
I once had a friend at my flea market (he's not there anymore for some reason), He always went down the states to get me some Transformers I couldn't get.
Very nice. That KO Silverbolt looks like the one I got from a Brooks/CVS/Walgreens a few years ago. If so the quality should be pretty nice.
Well....I once found a G1 Skullgrin at a Flea Market once.....but he WAS total gabage...and the people must of known that it was G1 'cause they wanted $13 bucks for him.
When I used to go to flea markets, all I saw are knock-offs, especially the "SEND THE BOOKS!" Energon Prime KO.
Well, another Sunday...and finally a score. Best I've done at a flea market in two years. The Shackwave was $1. He's in OK shape, has his gun barrel but the part that holds his legs straight in bot mode is broken. ...but hey, for a buck. All of the rest was bought as one lot in a big shoe/boot box. When I inquired about the price I was told "they're all different prices, or you could take the whole box for.............(drumroll)...............$15.": As you can see they're not in mint condition. Starscream is missing his fists & missiles, Jetfire is missing his canopy, an arm & a booster rocket, Swoop's head is broke (but still there), Soundwave's chest needs repair, etc. ...biggest surprise though was that the Sharkticon had both arms & it's tail. Definitely made getting up @ 5 AM today worth it.
