Cyclonus is ancient and falls in love with a character who is mentally only a few weeks old because he spent the entire war unconscious. His holomatter avatar is even an infant.

"No Whirl, you don't understand, Tailgate is actually four million years old! He just looks like a child!"

Yeah, after the disaster that was their Victory Saber they should be careful with armor sets.

 

Gawd Jazz looks amazing, Cyclonus and Starscream look great as well.

While the Jetpower Prime is a cool idea, after how Victory Leo turned out I'm not sure how well this will turn out as an end product.

 

Man that Jazz is something else...I've liked the look of a lot of these Flame Toys figures but there's just something about that Jazz design that hits right...Except for the price, likely.

You know...I knew there was some fan fic shenanigans going on at IDW, but I had no idea it was that bad.

 

I wish we could have an actual animated series or something with these designs. They're just too good to only be action figures.

 

Super small blip (and there are like 2 or 3) on an otherwise absolutely incredible universe. IDW Transformers is literally the peak of the fiction so far, between designs, characters, story arcs, etc. Just wonderful.

 

But Whirl’s Halomatter avatar is a little *girl* who looks to be around 8 or 9 years old. He isn’t a infant/baby/young machine.

With how much people moaned about Robert’s being so “PC;” you’d think he’d be “so PC” enough to realize what he was doing and .. uh .. wouldn’t have done it — because so so so PC’z (with the added “z”) and stuff. It just makes zero sense. There wasn’t anything “weird” intended.

So no. Cyclonus isn’t or wasn’t ever a “pedo.”  

I’m also 38. My cat is 20 years old and looks ancient AF. You’re comparing fictional alien sentient robots to how things are on earth with human beings.

I'm very leery about any of that sort of content, but the Cyclonus thing gets a pass from me too, since the development of the character has nothing to do with it's age. A created being or a clone would be in a similar situation, Leeloo from the Fifth Element, many many Comic characters lol

 

Calling Cyclonus a pedo is the most disingenuous and ridiculous thing I’ve read, but the people that say it I honestly think know that full well already.

Tailgate was naive to current Transformers culture and history and easily impressionable, but he was not a child in any sense of the word.

 

I like how they look, but I can't see myself displaying them with any of the "regular" G1 style Masterpieces.
On the other hand... I wonder how they would look in a separate display area with Cang Toys Thunderking hmmm

 

Jazz is what Masterpiece should look like.

 

They look great.

It's funny how Cyclonus has a gun based on his CW figure which is of course Silverbolt 's gun.

 

I’m sad that there was no female figure announced in the K3 line yet. IDW Firestar seems like a good choice for the aesthetic the line is going for.

Still hoping for a Shattered Glass version of their Megatron
