These are machines, human proportions need not apply.
Yikes, that's a hard pass. I love the high end expensive stuff but I'll never understand the appeal of this type of japanese aesthetic.
Because anime is good.
So you like expensive stuff but not the style? How fascinating.
Optimus is thicc.
Needs moar Xtr3mE crotch thrust.
So essentially what an Obari designed Animated Optimus would look like...
I personally do not like how small the chest is, it just makes the whole silhouette really odd. However, I LOVE the broken mask sculpt, that looks so unique and well done.
I can’t afford this anyway with all the Hot Toys Endgame figures I have preordered, but even if I could afford it, I’m not sure I can get over the chest proportions. But that’s subjective, and I know with Flame Toys the quality will be top notch. So whoever gets him, enjoy and post lots of pictures!
Lol how many?
This isn't a jab against Takara however when I'm transforming or playing with Sunstreaker, Dinobot or MP-36 I have to be careful simply due to their design and the ridiculous amount of tiny parts (even though I dearly love all three). The Kuro Kara Kuri line on the other hand, becasue it doesn't have to worry about any parts for transforming means it can use the absolute best materials and engineering for one mode with no compromises needed. Rest assured, you can play with him to your hearts content.
Flame Toys is the best thing to happen to the Transformers brand in a very long time in my opinion.
They’re just solid units of action figure prowess.
They're god damned A B S O L U T E U N I T S
And I can't wait to spend my money on them
Ive been impressed with Flame Toys since day one. That Drift was awesome.
I need to spend money on them as well lol.
You and me both! But Im sooo waiting for after market prices to drop slightly before buying one. Lol.
I have drift, tarn, and will definitely get prime. These are really good figures and I’m no scale junkie but there doesn’t seem to be any thought put into it for this line as far as scale goes. Flametoys (to me) seems to be on par with 3A’s Dlx line and they don’t have a perfect scale but there is a noticeable difference in height between Bee, Blitzwing and Prime. Also looking closely at the figures I have in person and the test shot photos of Star Saber, Prime and Megatron it kinda looks like they are all built on the same diecast frame.
I really like the line and I want Prime but not sure if I’m “all in” anymore at this price point if I’m just buying heavy retools of the same figure over and over. Cause that what it feels like for me.
I want a Grimlock in this style! You can do it Flame Toys! Bring the King in!
Eight if you include Captain Marvel from her solo film and FFH Spider-Man. I’m still waiting for Hulk to be solicited too. Not a lot by Hot Toys collectors’ standards, but plenty for me
I have Iron Man Mark 85 and Rescue preordered, along with Antman, Wasp, War Machine Mark IV and Capt Marvel.
Thank you! I think this every time someone complains about non-human proportions with these figures.
Don't know if it's been brought up before, but the Jetpower release is an upgrade for this Prime, not a complete figure.
It makes sense, but at these prices, you need to be sure!
I don’t think Flame Toys is the kind of company to retool for radically different figures.
Yikes. I’ll never understand Hot Toys Lol. I actually quite like a lot of their designs but I just wish they’d have some fun.
