Yeah okay, I will save my next salary for him because he is so worth it.
Prime looks good but whats with the super crotch?......
Still waiting for Starsaber, but own Drift and Tarn. The d4 preorder pieces are nice, I have it for Tarn, and my preorder for Starsaber. The Prime preorder piece is another must have, and it will probably be so for all future releases, looks like 4d will do well.
Man, I really love how he looks but I don't buy non-transforming TFs :/ So all I can do is look at the gorgeous images and hope some crazy 3P genius can make a transformable version inspired by the design.
How tall is 21cm
Plus the giant axe and the sword are based off of movie Prime’s sword and axe, the gun is the G1 ion blaster, and the overall design is like they threw in the Animated, G1, and movie Primes in a blender. It’s so badass looking. I’m not really into Transformers statues, but I wish I had the $400 for this.
Edit: I'm more than likely going to be opening a can of worms but oh well. I think it's a little funny, and ironic, that nobody is up in arms over the GIANT crotch on this statue, yet, just a few weeks ago, this fan base was (rightfully of course) freaking out over a third party Arcee figure for having giant breasts. Okay then.
Something about this one puts it over the other action figure Primes. I don't just want to look at him, I want to play with him. Which is at that price is a very frightening impulse to have.
Ok Flame Toys, NOW you\'re making those exclusives worth it! Alright apparently D4toys doesn\'t do free shipping, so I\'m honestly probably just gonna order it on Chosen Prime with some points to shave a couple bucks off and get free shipping, but damn...that Turbo Axe is VERY tempting.
A little over 8 in.
One thing I’ll never understand is the protruding crotch pose.
Holy Super Crotch Thrust!
This is way too expensive.
Jeezus. That is one sexy looking Prime.
It looks amazing, but why so expensive. I guess it shouldn't be a direct comparison, but 3A's Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime is just over 11 inches tall and is only $189. I know this guy has more LEDs than the 3A Prime and has a few more accessories, but $200 more stuff?
Anyone else think the exclusive axe looks too big? I think it just looks kinda ridiculous.
Because anime is good.
The \'Thrust\' series is getting too pricey. Dont think i can Schwing it.
I had the same thought at first, but having both Flame Toys Drift and Tarn, and 3A DLX Bumblebee; I can say for sure that there are a ton more mechanical parts moving, folding, and shifting around within a Flame Toys figure. While the 3A Bumblebee feels more like a (forgive the bad comparison) die-cast Figuarts core with parts attached on; with his knee being the only exception with a complex mechanical system.
I’m curious on the difference of parts count between the 3A DLX Bee and maybe Flame Toys Drift.
Not to mention what you said about the LED and accessories.
It’s pay for incredible design. One that presents itself and performs in their own respective leagues.
Looks amazing. But overpriced.
Which I think sums up Kuro pretty well.
I like to think the use of Diecast, the accessories, LED's, and extensive articulation are what make these figures so expensive and Prime's no exception. But I'mm...not complaining actually. Given how great Drift is and the good word about Tarn, I can understand that $400 is a huge hill for a 8 1/2" figure, but the cost is worth it. I'm happy with my Drift, with Prime, Saber, Tarn, and Megatron on my radar when my wallet is ready.
I really don’t get the appeal with such disproportionate features. I get that it’s modeled after some famous artists renditions of robots and his style. But the big ass crotch and thighs with a super small chest doesn’t jive! I’m glad there is an audience for these, to each their own...but I do not understand!
