Looks F'n Rad. Love the Gundam/anime look. Non-transforming is a difficult sell for me. I do have DMK's and ThreeA so its not unheard of.

I'd buy it if it transformed. Looks good nonetheless.

I think this is most people in the community's thinking, the only stuff that has seemed to sell out that doesn't transform is the 3A stuff. He looks pretty big

    Looks awesome.

I'm going to try and forget that I saw this, because I don't want to want it...

It's idw drift and looks appropriate. While I don't too much care for this I may bite, but I doubt it assuming this thing will be 200-300 atleast. What I would buy is a bomber Megatron with light up features, good size and super articulated. They'd also have to get the arm plasma gun thing spot on

Well, there goes my hopes of 2017 being a slower year for toys. Ugh. Going to have to get the preorder on this guy too.

1/ Education levels are irrelevant to this conversation, unless there are official certificates in Transformers that are required to join this forum.

2/ I know that the rules pertaining to official third party merchandise forbid transformation.

3/ I still believe that this figure is not worthy of my money.

4/ Complaining about others complaining is complaining itself. Break the cycle by not complaining if it bothers you.

As someone who really likes Gundam, I find this very dull looking. I think it's too beefy, not sleak enough.

When was the last time you saw a non-Hasbro, non-Hastak Transformer toy that was able to transform? Pen Optimus doesnt count

It's a Gundam with Drift's face. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as I like some Gundam enough to buy it, but the likely premium price for what is essentially a nice looking action master will probably put me off.

Unless it ends up like Sentinel Mega Scorponok/Zarak and ends up on deep discount. Who knows?

Any officially licensed Transformers figure that is not made by either Hasbro or Takara Tomy were never allowed to transform.

I am into Gundam a little, not as crazy as I want to be but how is this a Gundam. I don't understand. What makes it that? I think it looks cool, and from what this Chemical Attack dude has done with Sentinel Iron Man I think it will be good. There is a small market for non-transforming Transformers but it is slowly growing. There are a lot of options. I personally would stick with the transforming bots, but I don't mind picking this up if it looks cool. The GCreation and MakeToys or MMC Drift look awesome. I know GCreation is doing one but not sure if its MMC or Maketoys doing the other one :)

    Seriously? Dude.

The first image on Google under "typical Gundam" gave this. Remove the colours as on something like the Unicorn Gundam or almost any modern era spikey-Samurai design Gundam and you can get more than a flavour of where the inspiration for this Milne-but-with-extra-spikes comes from.

There is the Exia Repair, The Sandrock and the X that also use the tattered cloak in a windstorm look too, but you can do your own Google-fu for that.

I like it, and Gundam, but let's not get too coy about who is taking more than a little inspiration here.

drift has always taken inspiration from gundam, aesthetic-wise. Not sure where the issue comes from here.

Also Guido Guidi designed this Drift, not Milne. Hell I dont think Milne even did MTMTE Drift, pretty sure it was Roche?

That would be MMC, my friend. ;)  Mastermind Creations Beta (IDW Drift)

Speaking of which, I would love to see Maketoys do a Drift.

So thought experiment. This is the first in a short line of articulated idw figures. Say 3 more max. Who'd you like to see?
