    I’m 100% cool with this

I’ll be in on whatever they do with these from IDW lol
Please let them start working on a Lost Light crew

I wish these guys were bigger. I'd happily stick that Optimus in my IDW shelf, but at their present size they're too small to go with the rest of my figures.

as someone who simply doesn't have the time, patience or, honestly, ability to assemble and paint these things to give them their full potential, this might be something I'm in for. if the assembled/painted version is, say, 30 to 40 over the price of the kit and the paint work/extras are compelling, I could go for what are essentially IDW action masters that scale pretty nicely with siege voyagers. really hoping for a Tarn and IDW Rodimus from this line.

I said this on the other thread, but if it's not a cheaper solution then I'm completely disinterested. I already find the quality of the completed model far too iffy for it's size and price as-is, I'm not throwing more money away for someone else to build and paint it for me.

I understand where they’re coming from. I love the ones I’ve put together but I’ve definitely fallen behind. I think I’m sitting on 5 that still need built. I do like to build them but there’s something appealing about buying it and having it ready to go.

I think it's a nice option for people to have. While I enjoy model building, I certainly can't paint to this standard.

I wonder if it'll have any potential tweaks or molding changes? Probably not, but it'd be nice if they could refine any little issues the mold has.

This is appealing to me since I just don't have the time to build these kits anymore and I really want their Megatron and Devastator.

Assembly is a big part of the cost of articulated toys, That's why model kits can be so cheap. So a lot of this will depend on cost, but would I pay someone to build the kit and paint it for me? Yeah, yeah a lot of the time I would.

Interesting. I like the look of their models, but I've never bought one as I lack the time, patience, and competence for things like that. I think they'll be more money than I would want to spend though, especially for something that doesn't transform.

That was my first thought too - why don't they call these action figures? I'm not very knowledgeable about this field though.

I saw the kits at TFCon, but don't like IDW so I passed. Still, they look nice for model kits, especially Bumblebee.

I totally understand why this happening. At first I was a bit sad that the (beautiful) Flame Toys action figures were insanely expensive but the cheaper option required me getting the glue and paints out. That said I'm really getting into it now and might just stick with the kits over these. I've never really been a fan of battle damage or weathering.

It makes sense that these are weathered/battle damaged. It helps differentiate them from the model kits more. The real question is going to be how much extra are they going to charge for them.

That\'s cool. I just finished building and base painting mine. I plan of doing the washes and highlights and small details this weekend. I absolutely love the figure.

I should be angry because I just bought the IDW Optimus and Megatron models.
But I\'m not. Quite the opposite.

    Pre-applied battle damage?
    That's a line I can safely say I won't buy into.

Yep. Masterful ones. Almost action masters, if you will.
Oh, sweet, delicious irony of premium pricing on a line gimmick universally pooh-poohed 30+ years ago.

So now it really is Action Master. Wait, wait; they still need a transforming weapon friend.
