Interesting upgrade but I prefer the hasbro faces. Now if they would do a nightbeat faceplate color matched to the thrilling 30/same colors as the takara headmaster that alone would have gotten me to buy the set

 

So are they just the faces and you have to remove the old one from the back of the "pilot" and attach one of these, or is each of these a completely self contained new head?

I like the idea, but I really wish they were other characters. I don't need these faces, I could buy the legends releases if I want them. Give me new sculpts that don't have toy releases, like a idw rodimus or other stuff like that.

 

Kind of pointless by now.
Rebirth faces would be another matter.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool upgrade and the faces look good, I'd just rather other characters get better faces

 

I think these are really designed for those of us who un-ironically love the Headmasters anime as a core part of the G1 Universe.

The majority of English-speaking fans are not in that category, either because they've never seen the anime or only have seen the "hilarious" English dubs. For those fans the toys/Marvel comics/Rebirth/more-recent-comics are their only reference point for these characters.

For me, these faces are the faces of old friends, and I'm very glad to see them. Not all the Has/Tak heads are so very far off, but these are bang on, and as characters I really care about, these little additions are totally what the TR figures need for my collection.

 

I know these are renders but they don't look any different to me than the Legends version. Are these even new molds or are they just the TTomy ones in TR colors.

 

They look cool. I like Hardhead and the Decepticons.

Any chance of getting IDW heads for the Unique Toys War in Palm guys?

 

I'm happy to get this set, as I would like some of the Japanese heads (especially Hardhead) without having to purchase the entire Legends figure. I would prefer to get full Titan Masters if Hasbro would release the Takara versions domestically, but it seems unlikely at this point that we'll get them.

That being said, I wouldn't mind some future releases that give us some of the other faces requested in this thread. I would add Marvel UK/prototype Broadside face as one I want.

 

Hopefully this set sells well enough to get more sets
