Has anyone successfully fixed the upsidedown pin part on Mixmaster? I want to attempt to do it, so I looked up a bunch of videos on pin removals, and I have all the necessary tools. It's just that when I look at the pin itself on my figure, it appears to have some sort of clear glue covering one end of the pin. Does anyone else have this? Has anyone fixed it?

Also, just a sudden thought. Is the figure misassembled, or is it the instructions that are wrong? Because the way the parts fit together right now, with the rectangular bump fitting into the L-shaped slot, it seems correct, but the instructions have it backwards.

It's not misassembled. The piece was probably designed a bit differently on the proto version compared to the retail, which is where the discrepancy comes from.

I've tried the "fix" in the past, and the results are...bad. The cab, while it doesn't hang as low on the robot's back, also doesn't flatten out as well. Also, the small pin that attaches the armature to the cab is knurled on BOTH ends, so it chews he plastic up something fierce pushing that sucker out. I wound up buying a second Mixmaster just to forget that whole debacle.

Whatever you hope to achieve, it's not worth it. Mixmaster works just fine as he is.

I never bothered with "the fix" when I had him. I agree with ^ hasbro screwed the pooch somewhere along the line.

Fantastic tf. Among the tops in an unexpectedly good line.

I followed the Takara instructions and this is what I arrived at. It's the best rendition I've gotten so far. I highlighted some points in red circles. These are places were the tabs fit together, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that because it's not seen in the instructions. Anyone agree?
