I'll watch it. It is not like it's going to hurt anything and I'd know what I am getting into.

Bay's version of Transformers are far away from my favorite incarnation of the franchise. But, I sometimes think that reviewers come into these movies expecting Citizen Kane, because the things I see complained about the most are usually along the lines of "It's just a bunch or robots fighting". It's Transformers, man. That's what the franchise is about.

Yeah, plus there's a Bay bias a lot of times.

Maybe they think it's "meh" cuz there's too much robots ;)

I'd rather it be too much robots instead of too much humans.

I say, "If they want to make it where there is more robots, more power to them."

The Hollywood critics always seem to hate Transformers. Period. No surprise there.

That said, these reviews aren't all that bad, basically saying what we already know, we get giant robots and explosions. :bay

Oh..and Bay sells lots of products for Hasbro. :D

Yep, they hate TransFormers just like they hate Batman, Iron Man, X-men, Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter....oh wait....

It isn't bias, they're shitty movies. The fact you are willing to turn a blind eye to bad filmmaking just so you can see some effects any director could provide doesn't make people biased.

Sad to see the reviews are saying this is the same if not even worse than the last couple. Sad but not surprising.

Good. I liked the other ones so more of the same means I'll probably like it.

I'm sure some people hate the fact that their 'Oscar-type' of movies make jack shit at the box office while a movie like Transformers makes a butt-load of cash. Optimus Prime might as well turn into a printing press since a tf movie is basically printing money.

So true, when the 'critics' ramble on and on about this Oscar worthy movie, I'm pretty sure it's a snoozer. :lol

Y'know, I don't think its a bad thing to want some characterization in these movies. Even when there are a ton of robots, they're all cardboard cutouts.

Honestly, these reviews aren't saying anything other than what I expected them to say.

Transformers isn't a literary masterpiece, won't bring about "world peace"
and isn't going to cure a broken heart. It isn't designed to win Best Movie at the Oscars.

Storyline aside what I want to see in a Transformers film is the novelty of what we get from the toys and 'toons pulled as close to our reality as physically possible ... vehicles and objects that TRANSFORM and turn into kick ass robot war machines ready to fight for what they believe in. If I get something meaningful and some good bot character development behind it, then I'll consider it a bonus.

3 and a bit more days and I'll judge for myself. :)

    Hmmmm..

    1) robots appear more distinct and realistic - focuses on them having souls
    2) human cast is much less relevant
    3) Battles galore including a 30 minute finale happening in two cities at once.

That sounds pretty damn good to me!

I didn't expect it to be good. Hasbro should've realized by now if they wanted a good movie, they shouldn't have brought Bay back
