    Hi TWF2005 members,

I'm new here to the forums but have been a huge fan of Transformers all of my 34 year old life. I used to be a G1 only kinda guy but have recently started buying some newer releases which I have been enjoying. I recently got the Australian Voyager AoE prime and was pretty disappointed with it so decided to give painting them a go. Being my collection is mostly G1 I don't paint these guys ever so this is my first attempt at changing the over all look of a transformer.

I decided to start with a full repaint, head to toe but left body mods off the list for now.

The pictures show the unmodified out of the box version, back pack removal then repaint of limbs and chest of the model. I have just started work on the cab/back pack for Alt mode.

Let me know what you all think.

    Cheers guys

    Toybox

    He looks very promising.

If you haven't painted transformers before, you've been painting something (or you're a very quick study).

I have painted my fair share of nerf guns, all work up until now I've done with water based acrylics. This is my frist attempt at something so detailed and oil based enamel. Thanks for the kind words so far.

Just a few updates for today.

Had time to work on his legs mostly tonight, the pain staking hand painting around the flame work. I have seen several repaints redraw the flames to allow for easier painting...I understand now why people do this.

You can tell by the photos that I started off fairly sketchy, I will have to go back and tidy up some of the work on the cab and on side of the bonnet. By the end, I think I had it down OK. All of these parts have been painted both in Metallic blue and bright red.

Also blacked out the cab inner ready for a Gun metal grey dry brush and gold piping work.

Almost done now, legs back on to complete the body. Just need to finish the dry brush on the black outs and touch ups here and there. Should have some final posed pics up soon.

    Hello every one,

Haven't posted any pics for a while, I wanted to finish off a few of the other jobs I had here. Nothing really massive, just some steel repaints of the Dinobots and a better repaint of Drift.
