This one looks good but they are totally bypassing the original? It wasn't that bad Why all the hate?
Pfft, these aren't the first pics, they're the first screens I took a bunch of production stills months ago, on the Hell's Kitchen set. It was shot in The Hammer. No, they're going back to the original! That's the exact same apparatus Bill Bixby used in the tv show!
Yeah, me neither. I didn't think it got enough good reviews for another film, a few of my friends didn't really like the first one that much and I didn't think the film reviews on the newspapers at the time were overlly friendly about it either. I kinda thought it was interesting, I'm willing to give the new film a chance.
There was nothing wrong with Lee's movie to me. I don't know why they feel they have to reinvent it. The scenes with the Hulk fighting the US Military were very close to the comics. If they base this new movie off of the old TV show, they'll be stepping even further away from the source material as the old show was way off the mark. In fact, IF this is indeed a rehash of the old TV show, I predict that it will wind up in the same trash bin as Superman Returns which tanked because it was so close to the original movie in style that it neglected it's audience who had the original at home and wanted to see something better than the wannabe remake they got. Oh well, at least Iron Man and Batman look to be good.
I was actually one of the few people who liked Ang Lee's Hulk, it was very different from your typical "superhero" movie and was more about Bruce's damaged psyche manifesting it's self as a physical entity. The CGI really wasn't all that bad, I think the main problem was you were looking at a 10 foot tall green man on screen - that's hard for anyone to make something like that look realistic.
I for one agree with this post. I liked the Ang Lee movie and didn't see the big problem. Well, except maybe Bruce's father becoming the Absorbing Man...that was kinda dumb.
In a way its more reboot/remake than sequal but there basically ingnoring the piece of crap first hulk also amboination is the villain
I really didn't care for the first film. It got horribly annoying that practically every scene had somecombination of green and purple in it...
Because the first movie tanked horribly, was very poorly received, and Marvel wants to do right by one of it's biggest money making properties.
