Noses. How I missed you.

 

You know guys,as much publicity as Windblade is getting first with the Fan Built Generations,then the Comics,RID2015,and continuing in even more Comics or what have you,I think its only fitting Windblade should get her own Masterpiece Figure.

I would not say she is as popular as say Arcee or one of the other original FemBots but she is getting that way,so do you think Takara and I guess Hasbro should design an MP Windblade,also noticing how Takara is expanding their MP Line with more lines like Diaclone,Beast Wars and so forth would you like to see Windblade happen eventually?.I sure would.

 

I would simply say no.

Here's why:
1. So far takara have stuck with the original g1 continuity, which windblade was not a part of.
2. IDW comics aren't a thing in Japan, and hasbro has little to no say over what happens in the masterpiece line. So there's really no reason that this would happen.
3. As you say many people like windblade, however, as an outside observer, a larger number dislike her for one reason or another. The controversy of releasing an mp windblade before the likes of g1 Arcee would far outweigh the benefit for a line that already sparks heated debates on a regular basis.
4. See my post on windblade...to summarize it, there's too much of her out there for an extremely young character when compared to the franchise as a whole.

I guess you missed seeing TF: Energon?

I am more interesting in plot/storyline. If it's going to be as lame as Armada (or similar), I'll pass.

Shame they won't air this on normal TV channels. 'Cause for some of us, despite being a free app ... FUCK Verizon.

 

Yeah, this is nowhere near looking like Energon's animation. Aside from the entire art style being different, you also have proper shading and actual facial expressions. This looks more like Devastation crossed with RID2015.

 

Bleh, looks like the Windblade and Starscream show... again.
Hey Hasbro, remember all those characters you created between 86 and 2010 ? Sure would be nice to see them in some fiction as something more than a background character.
But we obviously knew it was gonna be like this, wait and see... Hopefully the individual members making up the combiners (other than Swindle) will get some focus and characterisation.

 

Maybe because some of us were hoping for a balance of characters. How good would Beast Wars have been if we only followed Cheetor around for 60 minutes? How good would the 1986 movie had been if we only followed Hot Rod the entire time?

I'm holding out hope that the promos are just that, promos, and not an indication that it's the Windblade Show, where everything begins and ends with her.

HA!!! i actually really liked TFPrime, but HOLY CRAP was the lack of noses incredibly distracting.

 

Really impressed - I was actually worried this was going to be one of those cheap slideshow fests like motion comics.

 

Yaaaaaay; the Transformers have NOSES again!!!!!!  

 

Looks fairly mundane.

Also God damn, can we stop putting little lights on everythingfor no reason? This is going to become a parody aesthetic before long.

Doesn't make her a good fit for a show. And you can't deny she's gotten a lot of exposure for no other reason besides being 'fan's choice.'

 

I can't be the only one who appreciates the irony of the 'original' character, Maxima, who is a recolor of Windblade.

 

It already has, Look up Voltron: Legendary Defender

 

I was thinking of that, too. EVERYTHING has a bajillion little lights now except, ironically, the TF films. (who you'd think would be all over that shit) It just needlessly overcomplicates a design.
