Those dragons remind me a lot of D-Void. They look massive and hollow inside.

Wonder if the Submarine is Sixshot? :lol

Confirms it as what? That it's just a marketing logo for movie 5? Hasn't each movie after 1 had a new Con logo even tho the Cons in the movies still use the same emblem and even in AOE we got a new Con logo when there were no Cons in the movie lol.

Something about that Decepticon logo is iffy. Remember that a new human character has a similar symbol just upside-down and without the Decepticon parts in it.

Confirms it as something official and significant within the context of the film. I haven't been keeping up with things, I'll admit, but last I heard there was still dispute as to whether it was going to be something in the film or a fancreation that had gotten some nods and was taking on a life of its own.

I think on the flag it's just a Roman numeral 5 (i.e. A capital V) in the same way there was a half Decepticon badge with a 4 for AOE.

The chevron on the military vehicles and the soldiers is a mark used to identify them as belonging to a particular company within a battalion. The origin, incedentally, is from heraldry and was often on Knights' shields etc.

Oh well yes, this is where the emblem came from that people like Res Goblem and others got the idea to make their own. When the billboard version of this poster went up in NY, a lot of people seem the V shaped Con emblem on the flag and that's when it started piping up all over because people were re-creating the emblem for videos and avatars and the such.

The thing about this TRF unit that interests me more is that it's NOT a US only based unit. It's a global allied unit. As you can see he also has a Brazilian flag on his chest. If this was a pure United States Military unit, and he was from Brazil, he still wouldn't be wearing his native countries flag on his uniform.

Foreign Individual augmentees to the US Army ( Which is NEST's parent Command) can wear a common or distinctive uniform, but they can wear their country patch. Just look at the South Korean Soldiers augmented into the US Army South Korea - They official "join" the US Army from the S. Korea Military and are integrated into the US Army - while still wearing the S. Korea flag.

That's what I mean, they are a joint unit. If it was a pure US military unit where as in no matter where you was born, and you are a US citizen, all members of that unit would have the same patch. NEST was a joint military unit just as this TRF is.

No the US Army South Korea program is NOT a joint unit. Its a US unit with individual S. Korean Soldier in it. Now there are joint US/Korean Arty units, but that is a true combined unit. S. Korea's military has no say on the Augments in the Army unit once they are integrated, until they are released from the detail.

Looking more closely at the poster, the things I thought might be Sun Harvesters actually look like parts of Cybertron disconnecting from Cybertron as independent ships. I could be totally wrong but if say a honeycomb section disconnected, maybe the large pillar/pointed section is what's connected on the other side of that hexagon snapped honeycomb. Just like the massive mother ship in ID4 released all the larger ships that hovered over the cities. Maybe it's a play on that?

The one they used as a facebook header shows that the underwater ship is the one floating around above the flag.
