It has been confirmed that the image is real. It has NOT been confirmed that what people are looking at on his torso is a mirror. Or that he's fully transformed, or that this is from the final design.

 

It really suprises me that this is real, I figured by the fact that it hadn't been taken down it was fake...go figure.

although I still agree with Neoboy3000 WHY in the world would a race of sentient machines that have been at war for millions of years have exposed un-armored areas?

 

Or that it's from the movie and not the game...I personally believe it to be the latter and not the former.

 

My gut tells me Paramount/Dreamworks is releasing this on purpose as damage control for the people who are going to mercilessly bash the movie until they see robots. It appears to have worked better than I would have expected.

Because it was a cartoon show for kids. If they really wanted to make machines that are super armored we'll be stuck with that ugly looking Starscream sketch that they did a while back.

 

I am more than pleased about his new design. Hope to get more pics soon. I have recently seen the movie posters on local movie theaters here in Peru. I can't wait!

 

Dammit, I was afraid of this being true. Wonderful, Transformers that have exploded parts in robot mode. Oh yeah, the toys will be wonderful.      

 

Do we even KNOW if these machines really will have these exposed parts when the models are complete?

HINT: The model you see here is not complete yet.

If I may offer a polite suggestion, then it would perhaps be a good idea to save the actual headbashing ritual to when the movie comes out and shows us that the robots do indeed STILL have these ludicrous exposed parts. For now, we're looking at an incomplete model. More armour may be added later - please don't panic...yet >

Not sure what you were really looking for, I mean they are giant moving mechanical robots. As many people pointed out these could not be fully transformed.

 

Don't bother. Eric has a history of freaking out over things prematurely. He'll come around on his own at some point, probably.

Hehe. I saw the poster here as well about 3/4 weeks ago ... when I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Then, back on August 6th, when I went to see Superman Returns, they showed the trailer. Looks better on a big screen.  

I don't understand how you can make the connection between these pics and the exploding-parts-transformation rumor. I just can't see it.
