This line is seriously like 98% pointless. Could have been so much more.
True. I do have the seekers two pack from earthrise but I really wanted the seige version as well because I really like that mold and because I also have the seekers three pack from siege. Then again I hadn't collected hotlink or redwing.
I'm in the same boat except I did end up getting hotlink and redwing (the latter when TCP suddenly had a PO on him). The Siege mold really does have a stellar looking bot mode though.
Yay I need another Siege Starscream.
Do I really need another Siege Seeker?
OF COURSE I DO!!!!
I\'ll second the Siege Skywarp redeco as well. The original is OK, but he would greatly benefit from actual black paint/plastic instead of that obvious dark gray.
Those siege seekers honestly feel like a drug addiction
Let's hope the WFCS mold has a head with a wicked grin in this PF toyline!
I will hold off making a decision on this until I see the vehicle modes.
Keep telling yourselves that. I see virtually nothing different between this Takara Starscream and the Hasbro SiegeScream.
The battle damage is gone, or at least less pronounced. If you wanna call that a premium Takara exclusive deco go for it. Pay 3x the $ to import it and enjoy. You could have the same thing by putting rubbing alcohol on the the Hasbro one, BUT TAKARA!
it is by takara. It’s an exclusive line produced by them only. Hasbro has nothing to do with it. This line has replaced their selects version at the moment.
And you see no difference between this and siege version…except the battle damage is “gone” or “less pronounced” I have news for you. That’s a difference and it’s not gone it’s there. The photo is low quality but you can see the weathering on his chest.
Is it me or does the blue look brighter on Starscream?
I'm not a movie ratchet fan so it's an easy pass. Likewise starscream who I have already.
I do like the actor Robert foxworth who voiced ratchet though. Used to watch falcon crest in the eighties lol
While I do think the Siege Optimus and Megatron repaints are really nice and evoke the 3A figures / show models, in general I think the goal of this line works far better for live action movie figures than for WFC Trilogy ones.
Many Studio Series figures had terrific sculpts but lacking paint apps, especially Ratchet and Optimus. Would love to see a dozen plus SS figures get this treatment.
i will say, it is nice knowing 90% of toys are skippable if they're gonna get nicer versions of similar decoes down the line anyway.
Only differences with the Starscream I can see are the lack of grime, the chin is now silver, and there is some red at the bottom of the wings facing the front.
PUTA MADRE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MAINLINE FIGURE OF RATCHET, I THINK I\'M GONNA BUY THE SS MV1 RATCHET AND CUSTOM PAINT IT MYSELF TO SHOW THEM WEY. YA HEAR THAT OBAMA >:v
Fixed it for ya.
Forgive me for being more casual in my perusal of product announcements and releases these days and equally casually commenting on it. Complete with a qualifier such as:
... and then, before even seeing your reply (I assume I was typing this edit as you replied hence my not seeing it until now, since the edit's time stamp is from a minute after your post,) thinking better of it and that I should probably edit to add a further qualifier like the following, just because I knew someone like you would say something like that:
I wasn't criticizing the line or "coming up with my own idea of what the line is." It was just meant to be a tongue-in-cheek (again, very casual) comment re: some people's dislike of weathering in previous lines and then this alternative being offered with... more weathering. In any case, it's not that serious.
starscream looks cold, hope it comes with the smirk face instead of the stoic face
I shouldn't want an updated Ratchet but I really want that updated Ratchet.
Separate names with a comma.
