Oh I wasn't complaining. But people have stated complaints about how you can't see the vehicle parts. Well now on Ratchet you can  

 

I like it, then again I am pretty flexible.

 

I dig it. No it doesn't look like cartoon ratchet but it's not like we didn;t know they wouldn;t look like their cartoon counterparts from day fucking 1. I'm looking forward to the movie.

 

Well, first off, comments like

Secondly, you darned well know there's different standards for people who like something vs. people who don't like something, at least in regards to "trivial-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things" stuff like this. People who like something tend to stick around and pay close attention to it. People who DON'T like something-- at least those who think logically-- tend to not pay attention to it after it's clear they won't like it. For example, after the first few toys for Kissplay were revealed, I stopped paying attention to any new news about the line. Stating your opinion against something is all well and good the first few times it comes up, but we're way, waaaay past that point now. Still insisting on posting in these threads at this point not only demonstrates an oddly masochistic tendency, but it also gives the distinct impression-- especially those like the post mentioned above-- that you're only posting to piss off the people who DO like the movie designs.

 

why does it piss you off if someone doesn't like something you do? why do you care? I don't, and neither should you. I've kept my feelings on all this movie stuff to myself, but this applies to anything, not just movie info. Everyone has a right to their own oppinions, and its fine to post them so long as nobody insults another poster. I like cheese. you may not and may say you don't like cheese. just don't say you don't like cheese and that I'm dumb for liking it.

please leave the telling other people what they can and can't do here to the staff. Its all I got

i like these "known designs at present" just hope they still don't mess it up still which is still a possibility is some eyes if not my own

 

WHY does everyone think that Ratchet's mouth is gonna be like a beak?

Does it LOOK like one? Yeah.

But that doesn't mean it IS one.

I love how these designs alow for "bendy" metal on things like car grills, but not faces (where the bendyness is needed).


And honestly, if the directors were so dead-set against bendy metal faces, why not go with rubber or plastic or latex for the face? Robots are alowed to contain stuff other than metal you know.

I'm really bugged by the choice to screw with the faces.

 

Well it does look like a beak. And it does look like a face plate too. Whatever it is I like it. Not my 1st choice but its ok.
And that Gizmo pic still makes me laugh.

He's just as entitled to his opinion as you... even if he is a "hater" (just an example of name-calling brought by those who like the designs).

He see's a new design, and posts his opinion. Plus, because he doesn't share his opinion doesn't mean he's out to piss off others or he's out to get you. Live with it.

Saying something looks like s**t doesn't offer and more or less than saying "I dig it".

Believe me, Don's followers aren't necessarily sycophants.

Already there's quite a few regular 'stooges' there who hate the designs.

 

Why oh why did they make these so damn fragile looking? Does anyone think that "Ratchet" could really be a fighting robot? But more than that my biggest complaint about all of these designs is the heads they all seem to be based on insects or monsters, i can maybe see the decepticons looking freaky but i think the audience should be able to relate with the autobots, wtf.

Well, look at it this way:

The Autobots are JUST arriving on Earth. They don't know any better.

The Decepticons just plain don't care.

Later on, there's 2 reasons why they'd adopt more humanoid faces:

1. To not scare humans, and be able to integrate better
2. To gain the trust of human simpletons - for instance, if Starscream kidnapped a powerful human, to secure his aid in some manner, here's how it would go down:

- The guy would be scared, and not trust him. So, Starscream would scan the guy's facial muscular structure, then reformat his head and face based on that.

EDIT: Oh yeah - LOVE the Megatron/Ratchet from Marvel mockup.
