well, I probably wouldn't have known it was Jazz if I hadn't read the title, and from the color scheme and green visor I got "Robot Mode of VF-1" from Macross.

That said, his proportions are looking good, the head is decent, albeit change that visor to blue as green has never been a signature "Jazz" color. Also, his hands should have all five phalanges on them, no claws. I don't want to think Allosaurus hands on the this guy.

In general, this bot looks like he could take a hit. Attention to armor and proper "bulkiness" for a Transformer is there which is a good thing.

It seems that they are moving in a more conservative direction which I think is more a positive in this case. Still need to have more identifiable focal points in there for the car mode.

I think if they did this and gave all the characters the traditional faces and five fingered hands, much fan-bitching would die down.

Anyways, a good start.

This is acceptable. Hopefully, the final version will look a lot better. But (unlike Megatron or Starscream) it works.

Hopefully we see more Decepticon faces with the Autobot design asthetic though rather than their current one - I would dig that.

Aweful. Yet another design where we would have no idea who it is without being told first. Looks like another generic bugbot that happens to transform, but not *a* Transformer.

I've never been more grateful for the new Classics line than I am right now  

 

Looks pretty cool. I really don't care about the designs until I see some toy pics though.

 

This is HORRIBLE.

 

Not bad, but as others have noted, it's a comic-style illustration instead of the CGI-ish movie board illos, or CGI itself.
I also notice some specific areas of assymetry, especially noticable around the feet.

 

OK... so..
Before looking at this I had a criteria it had to meet before I either got angry or any other emotion it might provoke.
That criteria: Can I picture this bot getting down and busting a move?

This design has met that criteria. I can see this working for Jazz.  

 

It looks like a cross between a pigeon and a pretender.

This definitely has a box art or comic book style to it. Me thinks the proportions and armor have been exaggerated in traditional comic book style. I like him.

 

It's the best looking design so far, but that still doesn't make it good. True it's just concept art, but that means they could make it look worse in the end. My main beef is the fingers. Why give a hero such a menacing feature?

You know what would be cool? If all the Robot mode images were red hering leaks. If it weren't for images of the Bumblebee robot out there this would be possible. That's what I would do if I wanted to keep what the robots looked like under wraps for as long as possible.

I know, I'm just hurting myself thinking like this.
