Would've been a good opportunity to do Primal and Ratboy in metallic paint to match the show, no? Also to make his beast mode skin black like the show instead of grey like the toy as the first release did. I'm actually kind of stunned they didn't do at least the latter. What's the point then?

 

I appreciate that Primal is just a nice alternate option rather than outright better deco-wise than the mainline one. It doesn't make me regret getting the original.

 

And that's why he looks that way. So people who've been collecting Seekers have a "zombie" that doesn't stand out next to the others.

Eh. Not interested. Primal is the only one which is a maybe, and it really comes down to whether I find this guy or Kingdom Primal first.


If I had to rank the Netflix waves, it would be:

1. Wave 2 - Nemesis, Soundwave and Elita are the 3 best figures to come out of the entire Netflix line. Impactor and red alert are pretty good. Objectively, so is Wheeljack, but since he’s all I can currently find in stores (my shelves are either Wheeljack and Cyberverse or Buzzworthy and Cyberverse), I hate him.
   
   
2. Wave 1 - The strongest out of this wave is Megatron and Scrapface. HotLink and Mirage are ok, but I’m not dropping money on them. Hound, sideswipe and ultra Magnus are worse than their normal decos.
3. Wave 3 - The only figure I’m even mildly considering buying is Primal, but only because I don’t already have Kingdom Primal. Seeker and Barricade were decent ideas, but I didn’t like barricade’s final deco. It fulfilled its job, I just didn’t like it. Seeker was the opposite. It doesn’t look dead, but I think the deco itself isn’t half bad. However, I’m sticking to my word and not repurchasing that mold, so it’s a no from me. Deeseus’s guard is meh, and so is Cheetor.

 

Yeah this isn't a mistake or a cheaper deco from HasTak. They know a generic seeker has more appeal than a zombie one

 

This feels fake.

 

If I get any of wave 3 it'll be that seeker, he actually looks decent. Silver feet on Primal is nice, but he's just not different enough. Missed opportunity again for buzzsaw and caliburst also continues the tradition started by siege fracas of a battlemaster being colorswapped between the render and physical product

I wish the Seeker was the Earthrise mold but I'm still picking it up for sure.

Anyone who uses the word 'lazy' in their post has their point completely discounted. It's a buzzword that really only says "I don't like this and I don't have the eloquence to actually explain why".

 

At one point I was going to hold off on Rattrap for the Netflix version in case it was painted better.

Very glad I didn't bother. It's... fine? Not worth holding off though.
