If it borrows the good concepts and changes the bad ones, it is called iteration. And is how 99.9% of things of all in this world are designed and released.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

(Though I honestly don't see THAT many similarities, aside from both looking like OT Optimus Prime.)

Consider reading a few posts in the thread before posting. None of this is true.

I have to say, one of the things that stood out to me the most was that ion cannon. At first glance, it looked completely off, with the handguard and general shape making me think of RiD01 Prime's gun more than anything else. My question is, would the rest of you consider it more movie accurate than the ROTF mold Buster cannon? Personally, I'm unsure. Either way, I'd have preferred a gun formed from the gas tanks (which would have also greatly improved alt mode weapon storage), but I'm not sure how that would've affected transformation and/or the figure's silhouette.

Perhaps it's because I've gotten versions of this design 100 times over and Buster Optimus Prime was already so fantastic, but honestly I'm feeling pretty underwhelmed by this figure.

I'm sure I will order it when it comes out, but I'm not really excited over this. MP Bumblebee was far more of a jump compared to the previously best version of his design. Maybe it's just the crappy photographs both in hand and official that's making it seem a bit underwhelming.

I think the detailing is more accurate but it does appear more like a standard gun rather than an actual cannon on his arm. More important to me honestly is how well he holds it. I always had a little trouble getting Buster to hold the cannon tightly.

sadly its more accurate, but i would have preferred the gas tank like on buster.

also anyone else notice the head? looks like its cut into 3 pieces? possible faceswap like the takara knight optimus?

It was just a gun that he held in his hand, though.

That is a bitching figure. Looks like an improved ROTF Prime and that was basically the pinnacle of modern toy engineering.

Looks great, but I think I'm happy with ROTF prime. He's nearly perfect already (after a couple mods).

I guess when you look you can see his hands but I've always thought they completely covered his hands.

Looking very epic. :D  Takes a lot of inspiration from the ROTF mold in a way which makes sense because that mold was very close to being an MP in it's own right. Can't wait to have him along with Bee to start my movie MP collection.

While this toy looks good and all, the biggest thing i get from it is a greater appreciation of ROTF Leader Prime and what that toy was able to accomplish 8 years ago. It still holds up and looks almost as good as this one for (i assume) a lower price.

Looks very interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this, correctly transformed and posed. Will be a nice display with him, ROTF Prime and M-01 Commander together.

I'm actually really liking the look of this, I was a bit "eh" at first but seeing how terribly mistransformed this guy is, and with the knowledge and hope that it can be so much better, I eagerly anticipate further, properly transformed photographs.

Is this a new mold the last two were just Repaints so that kinda turned me off this line but if this is a new mold and they do a New Mp Movie Ironhide and Ratchet it might restore my faith.

    Jazz would be cool too.
