People here have the wildest opinions on what is a retool of something else huh

Being based on the same character design, and therefore looking similar, or taking design cues from what already works doesn't mean retool.

Looks good. I don't like the gun though. Maybe they could have made it take place of the hands like the swords?

Then it wouldn't be accurate to the movie.

    Yay?
I\'m good with the ROTF Leader figure.

I\'ve not been collecting that many Movieverse figures since AOE\'s toyline. I\'v been too busy buying Gunpla and Skylanders. The only AOE figure that i have are the 7 Dinobots and Crosshairs.

That's one of the things the ROTF mold failed at to recreate the cgi model.

Also I have to admit that, just like with the G1 MPs, sometimes I'm surprised that the sorta idealized design in my head doesn't look like the actual original. I remember it happened to me with MP Ratchet, in that my first reaction was "wtf Ratchet doesn't look like that!" until I took a look at the animation designs and cartoon screenshots to realize just how accurate the MP was. Similarly I've been looking at the movie 1 renders and screens (like someone posted a page or two back) to see that what I had in my head was another idealized design based mostly on the Leader toy's proportions mixed with the actual renders.

It's like how I always forget that in the movie Sideswipe's wheel feet are gigantic. I guess it's 'cause I don't really pay much attention to the movies, I'm just a figure guy.

No one know it for sure. Till now we only have some shots, one where a guy is holding it in his hand making it look like a voyager, another one in which you see a girl holding the box with the figure on it making it look leader and another one where you can see on the back of Prime what is speculated to be the connector for the MP10 trailer, making it look bigger than a leader.

Sooo, measuring MP-10's trailer ports and scaling based on the image, I get a height of 22cm. Now given that the pic is at an angle and he's in kind of a gross pose I think it's safe to round up a bit.

As such, I'd say this guy is probably around 24 CM.

Bumblebee is officially 17.5 cm (being generous and assuming they went with bumblebee's new height of 18'), (30*18)/17.5=1/31 scale soooo (28*30)/31=27 cm.

So is he in scale with MP bee? Probably not. Is he pretty dang close? YEP!!!

Are we positive about that?.. and even if that's the case, those parts look too big to me, and the flames on the red abdomen parts are way inaccurate. Also, the doors on the chest bother me. The technique they used for the leader figure worked out great, I wish that had been implemented here. And I also wish the shoulder panels turned out a bit better.

It's just that I look at their masterpiece megatron and see a wonder of engineering, and I see this Prime as a near miss.

I'm not saying it looks like a terrible figure, I'm almost definitely going to get it. But I expected better.

Only just realised how out of scale the doors are on the CGI model.

I'm glad they used how he looked in the first three movies and not the "knight" look of AOE and TLK.

Sounds about right. AOE Leader Prime is 22 cm at the tip of his head, and I also think the MPM is a little taller than that. ROTF Leader Prime is right under 25 cm, so your 24cm does seem pretty good.

I will also add, that given the first movie's lack of mass shifting, hastak may have scaled these guys based on alt. mode, something I cannot currently measure.
