Not sure if there will be preorders from US etailers. He should be out around September though.
I hope they make Ironhide and Ratchet in scale with Prime (so bad that BBB is too big)
He ain't too big:
Thank you so much for your help and information!
Yeah speaking of that.
Notrab dtated that mpm prime is nearly 25cm of size, isn't the leader class 24?.
yes, he is:
Not by much... It works for me at least...
That's from Red's scale chat though. Give me a movie clip that proves he's too big.
Bees way bigger in the movies
Anyway, the official info about the 'scale' in the movies is inconsistent.
Prime should be at least 32'feet, going by the comparison size of the tires in robot and vehicle mode.
There's some perspective going on but bee comes up to his abs, not below his crotch
Just to add to the conversation, I always refer to this clip from DOTM to show how small Bumblebee is compared to Optimus. I really do think BB is the 16 feet that has been reported in the past. I will add though that the CGI fluctuates SO MUCH that talking scale is always impossible.
Another example. Bumblebee and Ratchet are almost the same height. Ratchet just a tad taller and he comes up just below Primes chest.
Now see this photo. Also gotta adjust for the perspective
Yeah hes definitely not below is crotch
If you analize that pic, you can clearly see how looks too similar to this pic in PROPORTIONS and size
In both, bee comes at the crotch area.
But if you analize this one....
In this one he's just too short, he looks under the crotch of prime, but that's not the major problem, here the problem is that in the RG's scale, bee is OUT of proportion with prime, not just in size, but in proportion too, bee looks too slimmer, when he isn't.
That scale is out of proportions and it isn't the same case, in the same scale chart you can see how bonecrusher is supossed to be 25' but when yo compare it with prime it's clearly not 25'.
I drew some lines, Ratchet comes up to right below his windows, and Bumblebee right under his abs
Give or take half a foot due to their relative positions in the photo, but this long shot of the three in one shot is the most accurate you're going to get.
In this photo though Bumblebee is in front of Ratchet. The thing about the CGI in the movies is that they over emphasis perspective. Depending on who is in front and back, they make some bots much taller than they should be. Bee is shorter than Ratchet. Sure not by much but it's there.
I'll also add one more screenshot from DOTM.
Here it looks like Bee only comes up to just about Primes thigh (Prime is mid-step). So more inconsistency.
Regardless, the MPM line is really impressive. It's great to see the Movie Universe getting such great treatment. Even if people disagree on scale, the figures are impressive. Really looking forward to more in hand photos. Maybe I can be convinced to pick them up.
My reasoning for purchasing the new MPM designs is to juxtapose a nice display along with their G1 counterparts. I'm curious how MPM-04 looks beside MP-10. That's what I am most interested in seeing. Any pics of that exist yet? Can someone get @NOTRAB on the horn, and make this happen? There's no way that I'm the only one interested in seeing this.
Though they weren't side by side, this is the best approximation so far. Only place I found it was in a video, surprised nobody has screencapped that comparison yet

Impossible to say really going by screen caps. Im sure Hasbro just contacted ILM and got the heights of the CGI models and went by that number.
