Oh wow, an MPM figure dedicated to the character with such famous dialog as ....uh... "Barricade en-route!" and "Where is the eBay item 21153? Where are the glasses?"
Not the toy's fault that the character is under-represented in his film appearances...but this toy sure aims to do something to help the character with representation.
Um, OK. Uh, quick question. Do you consider G1 and BW MPs to be fails, too, because G1 and BW designs are far older than the first Bay film?

What you're talking about isn't even the figure fault. You're unhappy they're releasing this toy. But I say you fail calling the figure a fail as it looks Superior to HA barricade which was the previous best barricade figure!
Well it’s at least memorable.... Barry here is the only movie Con who’s line I remember..... The rest where severely lacking in communication skills.... Granted Hugo Weaving did a commendable effort playing Megs with that half ass attempt at a script!
And after seeing it on shelves I passed it up because it was a rather uninspiring figure for $25. So what's your point?
First of all, its spelled "dialogue" , and 2nd of all, what "famous" dialogue do other non main character MPs have exactly? and why would it matter? since when do we judge a toy's worth by its on screen dialogue? unless you were attempting to communicate a joke, which you also failed at because it had absolutely nothing comedic about it.
If they would have done a mashup of the Movie 1 and Movie 3 Deluxe toys I'd have been happier. Instead this reminds me more of the HA. I think it's the head and face that's rather off putting. I do really love the arms tho. That alone might be worth the purchase.
I'm reminded of the recent "tournament" to declare the best movie character and laughing as half of them barely had names let alone dialog.
I assume they will move onto other characters before tackling the rest of the TF1 cons, but if I had to guess, Brawl, Blackout, and Bonecrusher would be the order. I really do hope we get the rest, but we may have to rely on 3P for a while. Also, since Ironhide and Beetle Bee are next, that might indicate they are planning to cross movies. I do find it strange that they are already giving us a MPM for the new Bumblebee movie. Are those the only planned figures for next year after Barry, or are they just the next two and we may get even more in 2018?
So by this logic every masterpiece figure, from G1 Prime to BW Optimus Primal, is essentially a fail because they’re characters that are older than 10 years.
