Without G1, there would likely be no other iterations of Transformers. It's not that the G1 fans don't want other series to have their own MPs. It's just not wanting G1 to get lost in the mix. There are still a ton of G1 characters to get the MP treatment.
There is what... almost 40 G1 masterpiece figures now...? 2 for Beast Wars. 2 for Bayformers. Not to mention almost all the reveals from Hascon and NYCC were all G1 based. Yeah. G1 fans are totally getting 'the shaft'.
They went from having new molds amd a few repaints and reissues a year, too 2 new molds and a shit ton of repaints and reissues. Beast wars is only 20, the movies are only fricking 10 and g1 is 35 takara cant even finish the ark crew. Thats also what scares me with them doing repaints in the mpm line. Im not gonna be pulled along on a ride for the next 20 yesrs tryna get my 07 cast complete. Um no. Takara is making the molds. Hasbro just cheaps out the mold.
What repaints? When have Takara or Hasbro said anything about releasing repaints yet? You're getting worked up about nothing.
My fear too, 20 years feels like a prison sentence but 7 years is way too much to ask for from a cast of 9 remaining characters and I'm too young to want to put up with it.
We got optimus and bumblebee this year. Barricade is next year. And Megatron should be next year after. The scouts and their leader. The first repaint or usless remold i see, i will go straight to 3rd party, just like im doing with g1 mps after takara went full toon.
i don't think Hastak is gonna vision doing that to us movie fans so repaints are the least of you're worries. The two MPMs a year that you mentioned however is a lot more threatening to how long do we have to be stick around here to get who we came for and that's where the remolds are coming in also.
But... that's not proof. We got two half way through the year and we don't know if the 4th is Megatron. This is just speculation.
Oh, well yeah. Haha I just thought there was some sort of leak or official announcement that told us how many we were getting a year. I certainly hope it's more than 2 though.
I do too but i dont really see it happening. Judging by bw. This year their only two figures was cheetor and a primal repaint. Hope that isnt what becomes of the mpm line. And honestly bw shouldve gotten its own subline.
ANOTHER movie MP? When will G1 fans get some MPs??? Spoiler: U serious? This is what I read on non-movie threads that sin by not focusing on the Bay movies! It sounds ridiculous. Let's let these toys shine, not hate them for not being G1 or character X.
If u r mad at the lack of movie toys, might I make a suggestion? Fight with your fellow fans about it. Dont send Hasbro or Takara a letter. Sorry, I grabbed your comment at random. I'm not singling u out, but your statement got three thumbs and echoes similar sentiments. It's important to emphasize how the fans do NOT make these toys. Arguing with a friend/fan does not help your movie fig cause. I'd be more impressed if you tried to convince the G1 guys to sign a petition to Takara. Action, not arguments! No one is getting the shaft - we are in this together! Let's remember to stay strong by staying united, rather than become a fragmented feudal system of in-fighting and war. But I respect and echo your sense of frustration. This hobby is often more disappointment than joy - especially if u collect ONLY movie toys (or G1 ).
