Man if this mpm line is a succes like I\'m hoping it is, we could get some amazing repairs similar to what takara is doing with their g1 masterpiece line. It could be something real awesome that could cater to the people that collected the original line of figures. Just with the 3 mpm that have/will be released, we could get repaints of first strike Optimus, night watch Optimus, stealth bumblebee, cliff jumper and recon barricade!

 

I really feel like waiting for 3rd party figures. Like that Lockdown. That beautiful, beautiful Lockdown...

 

And easy remolds/repaints, like ROTF bee, ROTF Prime (additional weapons), And DOTM barricade (include a blaster)

Or more advanced remolds like DOTM prime, or 70's camaro bee.

This masterpiece line has wicked potential, it could be just as fleshed out figure wise as the g1 line. Just think of it. If we stretch the odds even more, we could get mpms of obscure molds like swindle or evac xD come to think of it, mpm repaints of blackout as evac please!!

I dont want straight up repaints yet. Let's not make it like the g1 line yet.

Get alll the new characters out first and then worry about that. Or for me at least, the first movie and im out besides dino from alien atrack.

Probably something like that. My hope is that 07 starscream comes after barricade. Then a mp of Megatron from rotf for it's 10 year anniversary followed by Soundwave for the dotm 10 year.

I just feel like the rotf version of Megatron is the definitive bayverse Megatron. These are just my hopes and dreams.

 

A KO company could easily upsize an MPM Blackout into Grindor.

 

No. Give my 07 megatron next year, and after i get the whole 07 cast, you can have your rotf megs.

We are only getting two mpm releases a year. And next year is barricade and Megatron.

 

Yeah! Like this but I doubt we will see 4 a year. 2018 will give us Barricade for sure then maybe Starscream or Blackout (a big guy and a small guy).

There's a good chance it's probably gonna be 07 Megatron but his ROTF design was so much better and I think can translate into a MP figure better than the 07 movie design.

 

Says who? My feeling about the releases of the first 5 mpms is that they don't really have a consistent release patern, kinda like the first g1 mps, but by next year I'm confident enough to say that they will be pumping these figures out at a higher rate than we expect, so they can keep up with the movies and maybe have a repaint here and there. But that's just my 2 cents lol

 

I hope you're wrong. that'll mess up the line entirely and compromise both DOTM and ROTF anniversary.

 

Itll be two a year like the beast wars figures. G1 fans have had enough of getting the shaft. That's why i dont want repaints and remolds yet.

Please explain how the g1 fans are getting the shaft? not hating on g1 fans at all, I enjoy it just as much as the next guy and buy masterpieces, but I feel like g1 has been a little over exposed compared to the movie figures and best wars, in terms of masterpiece figures and lines like power of the primes which is wonderful fan service

 

Those two lines are entwined and Takaras business. I get this line won't be reasonable either but two a year is unsettling, even on Hasbro standards
