meh. i can see why a lot off ppl are excited for this but it just looks too simple. wake me up when the MP line stops repainting the same CON seeker over and over and give us a new molded CON.

 

Well rodimus prime confirmed. Hopefully we might see if we will get hot rodimus too!

 

AW MAN!!! Idk if I should feel happy as hell or real jypped(? spelling)... As much as I love dear old Roddy, yes I like Rodimus Prime even though he killed Optimus, but this looks to be a LITERAL upscale with better articulation of the G1 figure right down to the trailer, which doesn't have many differences AT ALL.. If this is close to the same height, I'm putting him on my G1 shelf when Hasbro releases him   I realize that the MP line is to be "the perfect version of the figure" but for Christ's sakes, They could have TRIED to intergrate the trailer into his TFmation.... Though, his gun looks as though it could tf on it's own, so PERHAPS they found a way you have a Hot Rodimus/Rodimus Prime figure in 1?? Bc the wing on his back looks more like Hot Rodimus's wing than RC's wing.. Just sayin..

 

I'm not surprised in the least. This is exactly what I expected. And you know what? I'm happy. I like the trailer battle station. Can't wait to see better, colored pics.

EDIT: Obviously still a work in progress, but I like what I see. I'm sure others will voice their displeasure though.

I really do hope that is a very early WIP prototype. There are quite a few things that could use improving based on what we are seeing already.

I don't know why, but for some reason I'm kind of disappointed.

 

Wonder where the proto of his bot mode is?? They have the proto of his alt mode and the trailer..S250 can you possibly ask on actoys if there was a proto of the bot mode itself??

 

the show is not open,maybe they will reveal his bot mode tomorrow.

 

I hear you. I like this and am excited! (although I hope a little more work happens on the mold)

But as much as I LOVE my Grimlock, it felt a lot like it was just a larger version of the toy I already have (with improved articulation). It seem a little like the first three molds really were steps forward for those characters, and like the newest two (Grimlock and Rodimus) are more just very nice upscales of what they already did. While I like Grimlock and expect to like this a lot, I don't like that trend.

 

Exactly how I feel harrismonkey.. I'm not sure I like this new direction the line it taking..

 

he does look a bit simle but thats how rodimus was anyway so i dont mind at all....at last rodimus prime get a proper toy...im excited

I like what I see.

I don't know what the hell the rest of you were expecting to see. It's G1 Rodimus Prime. There's only so much they can do with that.

 

Not sure what I was expecting, but I was hoping for more than this I suppose  

 

I am loving this as well. I cant wait to see more. Hopefully i can budget out for him and predaking and have an awesome christmas lol

People are complaining that Rodimus Prime looks too much like Rodimus Prime.

This fandom confuses the shit out of me.

 

I expected the rear 2/3 to look like it was "part" of the vehicle, and not a separately-hauled trailer hitched up behind it. That is how it looked in the animation---winnebago, not a cab hauling a trailer.

Honestly I think the G1 toy did a better job of that. (and I've always considered the G1 toy lame)

And of course, with Masterpiece™ engineering, there was the hope (and even expectation) that this could finally be a "holy grail" toy----it could be Hot Rod/car, and Rodimus/winnebago---all in one glorious toy. (really, just alter the front bumper and the spoiler position,raise the windshield a bit, and you could pretty much have Hot Rod attach to the trailer and look right)

 

I don't know. The "trailer" always felt a bit lazy to me even as a kid, and it's the same thing still.

Like I said, I am excited. I just feel like they maybe aren't trying quite as hard with the last couple molds as they were with the first few.

Don't get me wrong- I can't wait to get this thing.
