1. So what does that say when your engineering is lifted straight from another figure? 2. lmao no, not as negative on this thing as I was but the “objective perfect rodimus” this is not. Also love how you seem to expect everyone to keep up with leaks like they have nothing better to do. And even if we didn’t, they are LEAKS after all. At the end of the day unless there’s something like a computer listing behind them they don’t have much in the way of credibility. No offense to the leakers, but this is the internet in 2021, I’m taking everything without concrete evidence with a mountain of salt.
No it doesn’t but complaining about complaining is cyclical and useless so I don’t really take part in it. I only made my post to point out that people have doubts and will continue to do so until they see more.

Except when the things people are complaining about aren't even based in fact. "You're a sucker if you buy this!" isn't even a complaint, and deserves to get openly mocked. *Bingo* If anything, Hot Rod looks like what you'd get if you took lessons learned from Rodimus and applied them to a smaller figure.
Not that I would have gotten Rodimus anyway, since I think it’s a boring choice for a Commander, but I’m not necessarily wowed by the base figure here. He seems like a pretty standard voyager affair (maybe $40 voyager). I’ll wait for a proper reveal or leak with the trailer to give my final judgement.
I admit I’m probably in a minority of people, but I really wish we were getting a space winnebago with a self-contained transformation into a robot. The only time we officially got this was the Titanium I think? Which was not a good toy but I thought the transformation was solid. Still gonna pick this guy up, as he’ll certainly look great on the shelf.
For the same reason people feel personally assaulted if someone doesn’t like a toy or movie they do. It’s all the same.

If this is happening and I’ve got the culprits on ignore then fair enough, but so far the only person I’ve seen really complain is me, and my problems with this figure are entirely factual in nature. (ie it’s an upscaled retool of a different figure)
I’m also waiting for better pics of this because right now, I’m not exactly wowed by it either. The robot mode is alright, but the oddly-shaped windshield and monster truck tires on the vehicle mode aren’t my thing. Unless better pics of this really impress me, I’m sticking with SS86 Hot Rod.
Yeah it is. You can tell how the thing transforms just by looking at it, and it transforms almost identically to the SS figure. And don’t give me that semantic nonsense of how “it’s not a retool if it doesn’t share parts” it’s a figure of the same character that transforms nearly identically, the definition of retool has changed with the advent of modern cad software.
