I've heard of people closing it up using some light heating from a hair dryer to help it "set" into just the right shape. I'd be really careful doing this though. But I think that's more of a solution if your trailer cannot close even if the cannon is removed.

Dabbing some super glue on the tabs worked for me. Just be careful not to use too much or else you’ll have to do some sanding.

i'm looking at adding a rodimus to my collection - what do you all prefer, kingdom, or mp-9?

Prisoner of the moment, I would suggest go for Kingdom. Outside of a few kinks mentioned in this thread. Overall a good modern toy depiction of the G1 Rodimus Prime.

Of all my Kingdom figures, he is easily in the top five of my favorites (exact placement puts him at number 2 or 3). Scaled nicely, solid figure, great design. Like a few others, the issue I have is his trailer closing fully. May try thickening the tabs as has been suggested here...

Kingdom. It's the more fun toy.

MP-9 if you're looking for something strictly for display, though. But Kingdom is the one you can pick up and play with without fear of breakage or scratching the paint.

Two very different scales. If you want to add to an MP collection then it has to be MP. If generations or the unified WfC/Legacy scale then Kingdom.

Kingdom Rodimus is a brilliant depiction though.

    All spot on.

Mine won’t even close without the turret. I put rubber bands around it and lightly hair dried it and it’s a little better. I’ll do a few more “treatments”. Right now I also can’t get the hole to reach the black tab to connect him in vehicle mode. It just won’t go farther in and I’m afraid of scratching spoiler or pipes paint…

Weird. I have two, and the only problem with the trailer is the turret is way too big to fit without really careful alignment.

Finally got him, and for $50. Pretty happy with him overall. Face seems a bit off is all.
