Rodimus is coming at last

I'm still debating between getting this figure now or wait for a better painted version.

 

You're debating waiting just to see if they change the color of some lame effects piece to a different color that isn't smog colors?

 

... Because they don't look like smoke effects? They look like flame effects.

 

They're definitely not flames.

I don't know what to tell you. The sculpting is clearly smoke cloud shaped and even the wiki refers to them as exhaust smoke.

There is a difference.

 

There are different kind of flames by the way.

They don't look like smoke if anything.

 

Feels pretty good to be able to do this. Plus a side by side just because.

I'm not up to date with the QC issue, what was wrong with it?

 

They strap the trailer down in package. It rides around in summer in the back of trucks and gets warm. The plastic is slightly warped and the trailer doesn’t close(gap). Not all of them have the issue.

 

So you just dunked the whole thing?

 

The last picture makes it look like he evolves into Snarl.

 

I dunked the sides one each while the trailer is open and adjusted the pieces with the gray tabs first. Then the front section closed and held it together while it cooled. Then closed no cannon each side finally the hole back. Hold to cool.
It won’t close with the cannon inside and pegged in unless you fiddle and place the cannon in where the barrel doesn’t push up on the open end tab slot. Or add supper glue to the tabs for extra tightness

 

Into another topic, how well does Rodimus hold the Battlemaster Rungs? I want to use both the orange and red variants because of the connection the characters had during IDW MTMTE series and act as Rodimus' conscience.

 

Target has it listed for $84.99 but that can't be right is it?!

 

They are not flames. It's smoke. It's got a cloud shape sculpt. It's painted black. How much more confirmation do you need to accept it? You haven't even handled the figure yet.

 

It's definitely smoke but it would have helped if they had made it in a transparent color.
