Try it out and tell us how it works out.
Everything looks great, all my money go bye-bye. Wish I could justify the cost of that new Prime to myself, but I think I'm gonna skip him.
We should have got the guy to show us the underside. If there was a gap between the box wall and the back of the car. Working out away to cut off the fin would make it work. It will have to reduce in price. But I will buy it and cut the fin off
The benefits of being an only child
It's not going to happen because the bottom of the trailer is a tray for storage.
So, remove the storage and you're saying there's a chance? Kidding.
I wonder what Hasbro did to him.
No, because we all know that the back of the car is too high to go back anyway (the recess area is blocking it and also the spoiler issue... which has been going for pages after pages), I talked about this ages ago so I won't repeat it again.
I have the G1 of Rodimus and I was tempted to get this one but that face sculpt looks like he is constipated.
And just in case anyone is still thinking it's remotely possible, to put a final nail in the coffin, note this ledge beneath the slot for the spoiler:
And note how said ledge perfectly aligns with where the upper back of the car starts:
Even adjusting for the spoiler not being fully in in this pic, still gives us this:
And what should be the ultimate nail in the coffin for it sliding further in if even that isn't persuasive, the box itself:
This is Rodimus' transformation. For better or worse. I'm pleased personally as I said, but I understand and respect that some are not. To each their own.
I just wanted to definitively lay this question to rest.
Edit to add side note: Just my opinion of course, but I think the face sculpt looks better in these new pics than we initially saw, too.
I know that.
My bad, since you didn't set your text in "blue" so I actually thought you were egging him on...
That's where you hide your stash.
After all these years, we at last know what the elaborate pipes were for. j/k
Did you not see me say I was joking?
Sounds like an opportunity for some customization. Reminds me of a very special Yoda Dagobah Playset I saw someone customize online for a similar purpose.
Can't believe they dropped the ball on the vehicle mode at this price point. Those 8 unpainted wheels (instead of 6 with nice silver rims) and the car protruding like a turtle's head look dumb as hell.
But I'll probably never get another chance at G1 accurate (ish) Rodimus Prime, so I basically have to buy it if I want the character represented on my shelf.
yeah, its a bit annoying that the car doesnt sit deeper, but that really is just grasping at straws for complaints. i really love the look of this one, and look forward to adding it to my collection slightly off topic, but what do you peeps recommend for shelving for a chug display? i used to use detolfs, but they werent that space efficient and kingdom has completely exploded my number of figures
What kind of space are you working with?
This is a 3 x 3 or 3 x 4 foot display with four shelves (I forget which it's been awhile). For a fraction of the price of a detolf, you could custom build a more efficient display. Coupla' beams and boards, woodstain it and, if you want to seal them in, clear plastic PETG sheets. I'm not done with mine at all but I wanted to show you how many TFs you could display.
(Also, pardon the mess but I'm in the middle of adjusting everyone)
Other than that, multishelf 6 ft bookcases? That's what I used to use.
